    I literally question myself everyday for the past 4 years as to why I studied Architecture as the workload is heavy and there’s a lot of sleepless nights. But honestly, it’s a lot of fun and I’m in my final year now so I’m highly motivated!

      @@UnravelingArchitecture It’s still only my part 1 though. I’m at Bristol UWE in the UK. It’s hard to stay motivated as I feel I produced better work on campus so online classes are a huge adjustment but yes, pushing through! 💪🏼

      I ask myself the same thing everyday. But now I am in my 6th year, final here (at my school we have bachelors and masters combined), and getting my diploma, been a wild ride and proud that I made it through alive.

    This video is a great heads up imo. I applied for the major not so long ago and, luckily, my mind was made up towards Architecture. Also, I heard that the work-load is pretty intense but ig that goes for every other program, especially the more technical ones like Civil Engineering.

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do agree that really any major in college is going to be pretty intense haha! It's hard for a reason but the universe rewards hustle so keep on grinding in architecture!! I'm happy to hear you were intrigued by it(:

    4:34 I’m so sad that taking AICE art and AP art in high school killed my passion for wanting to draw on my own free time, and I am scared that studying architecture will kill my passion for “crafting” and my creative side!

    Thank you so much!! I love this video ❤ I'm struggling on whether to change my major bc I'm struggling with math courses but is so true you can do anything with an architect degree and transition to almost any other career path. I'm more into the interior design and materials.

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad it was helpful! I love interior design too and understanding materials is such a flex to have in architecture too - as some architects still struggle with comprehending material qualities. You'll do just great! Keep us updated as to what direction you pick(:

    i am a person who loves creativity and art , loves biology and not a big fan of math.
    i would love to learn about architecture and work on models cause i really like “arts and craft” i know it’s not that easy but i love focusing on details and working on something.
    all i’m worried about are the math and physics courses
    are they hard? and should i be really smart?

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Sarah!!! If you love creativity and art - architecture is a great option for you to pursue! And if you love model-making this major is made for you!!!!!! Focusing in on details is critical and you would seriously thrive in the major
      Please do not worry about the math or physics courses. A lot of the times, these courses are super elementary - and you just need a basic understanding of basic concepts. I would say if you are fond of art and LOVE model making, please seriously consider majoring in architecture! It sounds like a perfect fit for you(:

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is the salary for a licensed architect - most times it takes 2-3 years of interning with a significantly lesser pay to even get up to about 60k. And with limited working experience, you might not even be close to 79k.
      Another thing to consider though!! If you are in a similar situation as me and took out student loans - you have obligations to pay them back. Schooling can be really expensive and you want to get rid of student loans as quickly as possible. There are definitely a lot of moving components here and a lot of things to consider(:

      @@UnravelingArchitecture thanks, I’m planning on asking my high school junior year if I can do a internship with a local firm. Go ahead and chip away some of the 3 years of getting a license. I go to a private school so they do that kind of stuff my sister did a internship for something else. Junior year I was also thinking about taking DE classes aswell so that I can get some college credit out of the way do you think these will benefit me later and could I even get a internship at a firm as a high schooler?
