- This video shows you how to win Firefight KOTH as quickly as possible. Use these tips to make your games go faster! These tips should allow you to beat fireifght KOTH as quickly as you possibly can.

My one complaint so far with Infinite's Firefight is that I wish there was a true official way to play endlessly like in past titles. Other than that, it's absolutely phenomenal and I'm gonna lose countless hours to this for sure.
100% hope that there’s a way to turn off the hill and the limitations and just play for eternity like ODST
I agree, they need to stop putting their own spin on most game modes, like the scoring for KOTH in infinite sucks compared to old titles
they did say there would be different firefight variants coming in the future but unfortunately it’s probably not anytime soon

I was just thinking about how to use FF as a way to maximize career rank XP gains.
I’m pretty sure the game timer counts up and not down which means it technically could be endless I think if you make sure that nobody on your team captures the hill and only enter the hill to contest it and stop the hill capture if an enemy is in the hill and then once the hill is cleared everybody gets out of the hill.
I think if you have a team where everyone understands this you could make the games last quite a while and get some pretty significant xp gains.
I know that’s not what you meant when you said an endless mode but that just made me think about this.
On maps that have Warthogs, USE IT! The turret is hilariously OP into everything that isn't a Hunter or a big boss enemy. Try to go for the Repair Field equipment each round, as well, to constantly keep it healthy because you only get one vehicle spawn per match.
This mode is just nonstop carnage, you gotta love it

@@slickdaddypHALO 2 "buddies" drove me off the cliff on the H2 Mombasa windmill map. They didn't grapple back like I did... Made me chuckle
One thing to note the Grappleshot will always re equip after you use a picked up item like the regen. Its a base trait so you always have it.

another thing I'd like to add for the Needler is that its a pretty good boss and Hunter killer. It was very useful back in the campaign especially during the House of Reckoning mission

Yes! I didn’t realize this when I made my vid, but it’s on a timer to reset if you don’t have any equipment. So maybe the rule should be changed to 2. Use other equipment ASAP so you can get your grapple back

Loving the tips. Managed to get perfects with similar methods. One more tip. If all the enemies are in the hill and teammates are down spam grenades (not spikes) to clear out and get a high multi kill.
This is actually my favorite rendition of firefight, had an absolute blast last night and the game ran very very smoothly on series s

In normal firefight at least, all equipment is infinite like the grapple. You can get a ton of pancake kills spamming repulsor
I wouldn’t pick the repulsor but I get why people love it
@@slickdaddypHALO Catch is usually a common skull that gets activated. So the repulsor can be clutch in those instances. I'm always bouncing back dyno and plasma grenades. You can also pancake elites once their shields are down, and play keep away with the gravity hammer wielding brutes. It's, my go to if I'm not in a stage where I need verticality.

I really want to see a legendary version of firefight, but only if the xp earned (for career rank) is exponentially increased so that it's actually worth it to play on such a high difficulty

The regeneration field is actually extremely op. It even ressurects people. If they die. Super nice for a clutch save when its needed
The few times I’ve used it I’ve been really impressed. I want to try jumping on Escherum and having all four players melee him while he’s swinging the hammer in a regen field
I think being able to carry/use 2 special items like in the campaign would be good for firefight. A grapple and a regen field for example

Honesty I though the hill aspect of firefight was going to be alot more painfull. but playing it myself it really does it it a bit more dynamic and fun!
Good vid. I appreciate the tips. Having a precision primary is an absolute must. I'd also add that grav hammer pickups can be pretty OP at times.
I should’ve added a note that gravity hammer and boss beams are an ABSOLUTE requirement to pickup

I always grab the Barrier Shield (whatever it's called) when I find it. It's unlimited as well, and has saved me and my team so many times.

The repulser has been infinite uses for me whenever i grab it. Same with the dropshield and the thruster.
But the grapple is so OP
I usually go for the repulser because Im a dumbass, And I feel like it helps more when the boss is just *right there* and you wernt ready.
@@slickdaddypHALOThruster can be useful depending on how vertical a map is and how consequently unnecessary the Grappleshot may be on that map. The ability to escape Hammer swings, grenades, etc. in *any* direction rather than just forward.
They're all unlimited, even the Threat Seeker/Sensor and the Drop Wall. The only four that aren't are OS, Camo, QT, and Repair Field.
@@slickdaddypHALO Repulsor can destroy bosses on maps with falls. Took out both Myriads on Behemoth in less than 30 seconds by pancaking them off the side of the map.
I hope more campaign areas become firefight map

I like to have a pulse carbine as my secondary to drop the shields of elites and other shielded enemies quickly

The grav hammer with an overshield makes you a group clearing machine

A few tips for the more harder modes (Heroic & Legendary) that I find helps
- Try to get a fireteam you can communicate with.
- Try give each player a role: Hill Defenders, Supporter & Phantom killer
- when 3 players are down, it's better to give up the hill than end the game by dying as last standing
- Try to destroy phantoms (Especially boss ones) ASAP: Equip a SPNKR, Hammer or Hydra + Plasma Grenade and try to shoot down the phantom before it can drop off the units.
- Always have a Dynamo on hand, it can help pull you out of hairy situations without risking constantly getting shot at.
- Take advantage of warhogs and repair field. These always respawn each wave and should be used each wave.
- For support / Defenders, Have a precision gun & a plasma gun, ideally a BR + stalker / plasma pistol to help take down the elites and shielded brutes easier

I still think BtB is better to rank up, as I get roughly 3-5k score per game, occasionally you get that god lobby and drop 6/7k score, BtB is 1.8x xp, so 15 minutes for a btb match I get about 8k with the xp boost, and 15min firefight 4k score average.
That’s wild I don’t think I’ve ever gotten more than 6k in a BtB match
The repulsor is great for pancaking fodder, just keep slamming them into walls and you can save yourself a headache

From my experience, I think the biggest tip I can give to new players is to prioritize staying alive. I've never lost a game because the AI beat us in points, but I can't tell you how many games I've lost that we should've won because the last guy alive tried to go for enemies and the hill when they really shouldn't have. It doesn't matter if your team reached 3 or more points, if your team gets wiped out, you automatically lose. If you run away from the hill and hide, you'll live. Sure, you might surrender a point to the enemy, but you'll at least get another chance for the next round.

The Repulsor is infinite. I use it because the skirmishers and dyno grenade combo can be deadly. Plus, I get the pancake medal and I'm able to push everyone out of the hill.

Firefight is great!
I hate the commando but I think its the best because it drops often and can technically kill a lot of weak enemies the fastest. Also dynamo grenades are the best grenade

Nope, you don’t gain more XP, in fact, you’ll likely earn less because you’re earning less score per game

I got about 4K each game I won, at an average of 14 mins a game. I think that’s about on par with BtB dropping 25+ kills

As cool as koth is I knew from the first match that I’d much rather the legacy gamemode as the hill forces you to stay in one area so that you can get a good score. A person with 28k damage wont score as high as a person with roughly 22k who stayed on the hill the entire game.
Which I know that PvE isn’t a place to sweat, but wouldn’t you want your offense score to mirror your defense?
Honestly I’m with you - I’d prefer to run around the map and challenge the spawns head-on. I really hope we get a non-KOTH variant soon

I disagree. U should score more staying in the hill bc that's much more of a challenge than taking a good position on any map. And sometimes the hill area is tiny, leaving u cornered or a sitting duck. Koth is a great variation to the OG FF 👍

Banshee's only risk with all the campaign AI is the endless shooting shock rifles at you, otherwise as long as you keep it out and away it absolutely shreds

I would disagree with "get as much hilltime as possible" idea. Really only 1 person needs to be in the hill. If everyone is communicating, have the other 3 running arround killing enemies before they all join up at the hill. Waaaay more safe way of playing as a team.
