- We recently had the chance to drive and experience probably the only performance station wagon ever sold in India minus the RS6. The MK1 VRS Combi is truly a unicorn with very units sold in our Indian market. This particular car is on sale on @tdhclassifieds and it's truly one of the cleanest cars in India. Ofcourse, being a highly tuneable platform, the car has been equipped with all necessary Stage 2 mods and Code 6 tune with some special sauce which we will not reveal here. It sits on some beautiful AVA rims and just look at that pristine interior 😍.

Every 1.8T of this gen was of the 5valve per cylinder design irrespective of power output that was anywhere between 150-230PS.
150PS is the AUM spec / state of tune of the engine, but hardware almost being identical to 180PS AUQ (which required a higher min RON rating.

i have BALENO ALTURA WAGON engine swap with 1.8 K20A2 - after using it for for some days - like going on long trips - drives we did a dyno run it showed - 200bhp before that converted my car into air-suspension - after ordering parts from japan CAMSHAFT AND MEDIUM SIZE TURBO - AFTER FITTING THAT in my car - my car sounds different = straight piped - i call her BLACKBIRD with BBS 14 with gold and chrome with black glossy paint job . love my car . wagons are very diff - its sleeper for mee - i stay in Mumbai - but no one have seen mee that's for sure ....

Also the gen1 Octavia kombi / estate was only 6-10mm longer than the standard notchback version. Yes the rear glass visually sits further behind in your irvm, but it is hardly a longer car.
Station wagons has the most praticality and performance at the same time

Sweet car , had a friend who had the sedan version. Horrible reliability and ages to get parts. And this was when new.

A whooping 7.5 lacs, and that too not sure stage 2 cars how many times they break down... I can get an Audi or merc rather at this price
