@@normanthomas9065 you print 1000 copies of a picture of a lower receiver, cut out the picture over and over again and glue them together for a 3d version of the picture
I used to work for LASD for 9 years. The shotguns are loaded with buck shot, side saddle have slugs. He was removing all the buck so he could load slugs.. LASD has always been stupid when it came to issuing AR's. Only a few of us had them.

I worked for the other agency in LA County, just replace the "S" in LASD with a "P" for 32 years and the majority of those years were in patrol. I will take the tube over the AR every day of the week and yesterday. I saw way too many bad guys get hit from projectiles from pistols or AR 's and they were still able to shoot back. I never saw a bad guy take a blast from an 870 or a Benelli and live to fire one round. How many of those 9 years did you spend working the jails?

I'm in the UK and we called the police because a man was assaulting his wife, they took 2 hours to turn up and the police station is a 30 second drive away.

In my area they don't use shotguns anymore only patrol rifles.

I’m a woman so I have the right to say this: women should not be police officers, firefighters or be in combat positions. We are not built for it. Just watch the TH-cam channel police activity and you’ll see time and time again why we should NOT be police officers. We are not built for it, mentally or physically. Most women I discuss this with agree.

With LASD, deputies can check out AR-15’s with red dot optics. It’s optional to carry. Also, they are trained how to load up one slug at a time without emptying the entire shotgun magazine. For training, deputies shoot slugs at 25, 50 and 100yd targets.

My firearms instructor taught me, particularly in close quarter situations (especially in accordance with the idea of minding your backstop), to shoot for the pelvic girdle when using a handgun. 99% of combatants will be out of the fight due to both pain, and mechanical failure. I say this referring to the idea of practicing body armor drills, not as a "well akshually", just food for thought. Body armor or not, the pelvic girdle can often present itself as a wonderful target both when the target is in bad breath distance, or in a situation like this, where you have time to aim a well placed shot. That all of course, keeping your backstop in mind, depending on the distance.

Keep up that BS narrative. I’m a California resident. I live in LA - the city, not the county, which is what we see here. I legally own a Keltec KSG with a pistol foregrip and a red dot, that can sling significant amounts of lead down range if the situation calls for it. If I can’t access the shotgun for whatever reason or if it jams - it is a Keltec after all - I can use my 9mm S&W which is loaded with hollow points. All legal. None of it requiring any special permits.

This is just a couple miles from my house. Diamond Bar is a middle/upper class area. The cross streets was near a school and a very busy shopping area in DB, not to mention Diamond Bar Blvd is a major street in DB. For the average citizen, calling 911 is usually not only the best option, it's frequently the only option, especially in a nanny state like California. Truth be told, the law in many States doesn't allow for an armed citizen to take shots at another armed person in the absence of an articulable threat.
In a place like CA, your best bet is to call and arm yourself while being a good witness.
