Everything works so well and I didn’t see any rust holes. Barney just needs a blue paint job

That only looked mildly terrifying. If it had been me, then it would have been extremely terrifying with no synchromesh on first gear, the weird indicators, no seat belts and 34 bhp. Very nice little car, however.

What a great looking little car and Oliver is a lovely little chap and so refreshing to hear him talking about the features on the car. Looks like he will be keeping those little cars on the road for many years to come.

What a fantastic video. My Dad rescued a 1958 Austin A35 (2 door, palm green) from our local scrap yard in 1998 when I was 13 as a project for us to work on together. I spent hours looking through the Haynes manual and Autofurbish catalogue and then working on it with my Dad until we finally got it back on the road. Happy memories too of driving it into college after passing my test when my friends all had Saxo's and 106's. That car got me into the world of classic cars. It is great to see all of your knowledge and passion being passed on to Oliver, I hope he gets to enjoy driving Barney in years to come. Thank you for bringing back happy memories.

Pheasants are such weird things. If you toot your horn they usually just ignore you, which is why so many get squashed in the road. But if you stop and get out and clap your hands they are gone in a flash!
I would never have thought to lift the 'flying A' to release the bonnet catch. I would probably have been fiddling around for half an hour looking for a little catch hidden between the slats in the bonnet grille. Always enjoy your videos.

It looks to be in nice original condition.I used to own an A30 back in the seventies.Back then it was just an old car,not a classic. The one I owned had a crash gear box, so double clutching was required.❤

Intrigued by the blanked off hole in the boot, as I understand that the 1st. Classic Mini’s had a similar hole in the boot and of course the central dash covered a hole, because they started off being “built up” on a large shaft right thro the middle of the shell, maybe those were similar.
I can see your classic car knowledge and review expertise is at threat from the little Oliver after watching this video 😳

Possibly the most underrated classic British car. Even though they appear delicate they are actually quite bullet-proof mechanically. 🙌🫶💪❤
