To be completely fair, this sounds like something WWE would do.
100% because it sounds like completely stupid garbage and all WWE does is completely stupid garbage. If they accidentally come across something good they will kill it like The Hurt Business but if they have stupid garbage they love it and will keep it forever like The New Day. They killed off The Fiend, NXT Black and Gold, made the US, IC and Tag titles meaningless, they made the whole tag division garbage. The list goes on forever. They have it in writing that they will not do anything good because WWE is about children and stupidity so thats what they focus on.

This actually sounds like it could’ve been a really fun week to week segment on WWE tv. They let dudes like New Day carry Booty O’s and Pancakes everywhere with them, Breezango were literally goofs, they literally have Ezekiel acknowledging his old gimmick as a joke. This would’ve been a great 2-3 minute segment to see each week on Smackdown. Vince didn’t take the Vaudevillians seriously, they took that and ran with it and Vince didn’t like that either. Some dudes just walk in there and from their first minute in the company, Vince has already decided they aren’t going to succeed
Well have they done anything since? They had a chance but wasn't much to do with those guys. They really weren't anything but old timey guys, not much to go with. Never really had a purpose or reason to care either way. English did much better as a mouthpiece. It wasn't a long term gimmick.
