Nah, they were copy and pasted and even worse than FH4's copy and pasted sounds. The sounds itself are good but I hate how 97% of the cars literally sounded the same.

Nice job, actually the vanilla stock sound comes from a stroked RB26 (nicknamed "RB28", is a common modification exactly to 2.8L) , so, not a soft tunig mod, the engine has to be dismounted. An effect of increasing the stroke is that come out more high frequencies armonics

Overall not bad emulations of internally gated/external gate plumbed back into the exhaust RB sounds. But I found on my console copy of NFSU2 the extreme package sounds more like a N/A V6 than any attempt at an I6 I’ve heard. Some studios really started hitting the nail on the head a few years later imo. Edit: I see this is for a sound mod. Yeah it runs rings around the base game, particularly for the extreme engine package.
You can got sound from pro package with all parts from extreme but blueprint engine in extreme package change sound. So to save great sound engine from pro package you can upgrade everything without blueprint engine

I've managed to level 3 the skyline without blueprinting the block if I remember, and that allowed the skyline to mostly be level 3 but still have the original noise
