Everyone has these questions and its just one of those things dont matter how much u go church or pray whatever, we wont know till its our time to pass on.
These questions have always been on my mind, in fact I did the exact same thing and I got no answer. I remember when I was a little kid riding in the back of a pickup truck riding over to my parents friends house and for some crazy reason I thought about death and I began saying (as I was laying in the bed of the pickup truck looking up at the night) "I don't want to die" over and over i was saying it until i began crying uncontrollably repeating the same thing. I dont know why but I do know I didn't want to die. Because to me dying means you dont exist anymore. I'm tired of hearing the sa.e thing over and over from people who were taught by someone else the same thing but there's a loophole that is just beyond our reach. It is there (the answer to all our questions)...and it isnt what weve taught. It is your own discovery and that answer is "truth" but telling others will tell you it's a lie because it is out of the ordinary or out of the norm. My fear of dying is still just as strong now as it was when I was just a child. I mean I WAS conceived and born out of nothing but came into something. We believe in what we see (seeing IS believing) as well as what we were taught as/what we see. Please watch the Matrix one more time and pay attention to what is being said. I'll start with one topic: The truth is that you are a slave of what you cant see, taste, smell or touch, a prison of your very own mind. Definitely a real topic to discuss. As we grow & go through things in life we always develop questions about what we've learned/been through. I know I personally believe when it comes to "religion" it's about your personal beliefs/relationship with whoever you feel is the "God". Definitely give Dax props for this one it's a song that will raise questions & conversations that's needed.

Definitely a lot of real questions and I definitely find myself asking some of these questions. I don’t have a story like his but that’s why he was the one that needed to do it. He has a view that even if you don’t believe you still have to say you asked one of these questions yourself and if you do believe in any religion it definitely has to speak to you.

This son was deep because he covered what many believers at one point in time, has asked. He brought up some questions that pushed many believers to walk away, like the questions about religion and church. But on thing I can say is that religion was definitely created to separate and confuse because Christianity isn’t about a “religion” it’s about a relationship with Jesus and THAT is where the enemy comes in to confuse those who are seeking that relationship. For people who are saying he was going to end the song by saying Amen, he did. Let’s watch from the beginning, he started with Dear God which is how you write a letter to someone. This is him writing like a letter to God, he ends the letter with Amen but what do you write after writing a letter to someone you end it by writing you own name meaning this is him basically writing a letter to God asking him about his doubts and where was he when he needed him but instead he turns the letter into music. If that makes sense.

Yo... I'm still listening to this joint because, just in general, why can't we ask questions...? Why is it considered to be wrong to ask questions that we're confused and/or unclear about...? Isn't that what we're supposed to do? It's like with anything else if you don't know the answer, you're supposed to ask questions, except when it comes to anything religious. That you're supposed to just go on/by faith. Who made that rule and why are we still going by that...? I love this song. It brings up questions that we have all asked at some point in life.

Absolutely. One of my favorites from his Ill Mind compilation. Although, Hopsin seems to use these questions to denounce faith in Christianity, whereas Dax seems to use it to question the validity of his faith, the lack of transparency and corruption within it.

I think what dax is trying to say is. He feels like nobody is there when they’re needed. He prays and prays but gets nothing back. Rich people abusing the system and becoming richer, while the poor susceptible people are waiting for their prayers to get answered, almost like.... the rich know god doesn’t exist yet the poor who are begging praying get nowhere. In turn dividing the rich and the poor. People that have nothing still give what they can to charity I know I do, yet those that are on commercials/adverts begging for your “help” could donate more money than you’ll ever see in your life. “God” was against churches yet here we are. Religion was man made to separate different cultures, races and look how the world is right now.
