The obsession with time, speed and all the other psychological monsters that we feel are chasing us can really create the subconscious feeling that we aren’t doing our best. Slow cooking! Short cuts are fine but not necessary. It’s ultimately about your own innate sense of flow. Just go with what feels natural and if short cuts, speed, speed and more speed aren’t you then slow down, take your time, enjoy the process and not the outcome.

I am just beginning with Logic Pro, have watched a lot of tutorials and find the 'mixing', 'mastering' and effects 'chain' to be daunting ... can't always hear the "improvements" being described in various tutorials other than increased loudness and diminished dynamics. I have a Roli MPE Seaboard Rise keyboard, acoustic guitar, Udu (Ibo Meinl) drum. There are very few videos on TH-cam regarding setting up to record MPE (polyphonic expression) keyboard with the needed multi input channels to pick up the full array of strike, press, slide, glide, lift directly from hand movements on the keyboard. I keep experimenting, but haven't shared anything online ... lack the confidence in my ability to judge the quality of the mix. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying your clear explanations and effort to simplify the process. Excellent!
