The removal of the back glass was shown to be deceptively easy. I understand it looks smoother for video production to seem as if you can apply a little heat and pop it off. Unfortunately the reality is this little lie will certainly cause some people to break the rear glass. I believe I made this criticism before in an effort to spare others from damage ... but it looks like the comment was deleted because you care more about image than helping people. I guess a thumbs down will have to do. Great video overall .
Not only Is the back glass removal made easy looking but so is removing the battery which actually sits on on the back of the display so too much pressure and you need a new display and heating the glue under the battery is not easy and fast
@@giofurla haha thanks for the reply but I did end up being more patient and worked a treat. Luckily phones are water resistant now and won't have to pry open my phone ever again 😅
@@soumaya94 haha sorry just searched for this video for my old phone and watched the comments, i didnt evem noticed this comment is 4 years old 😂 btw please dont put ur phone in the sea or if u do wash it with clean water after cause yes those phone are waterproof, but not water resistant, also the warranty will not cover water damage, so please be careful! I remember when, I could just pop the back off my old S3 that, I still have, and pop the battery out. now it's a 20 step process, an arm, and a leg, and 20 hours of your time just to switch a battery lol.
They made it that hard on purpose so 90% of their users with this problem would buy a new phone versus going through this process and possibly killing someone out of frustration trying to get those little ass screws out. I actually have this problem with my current phone and just chose to sell it on eBay.
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Great videos, keep up the good work. Word of advice, if you often do repairs you should get yourself a small electric screwdriver it's cheap, safe and saves some time and effort.
Hi , i was wondering what is the name of that tape or glue that you glue back the back glass on samsung s6 edge , i want to open mine to fix volume button but i dont know how to glue it back together , do you have name of it so i can order it via amazon or ebay ? i would be thankfull . :)
@Fixez.com there is no additional adhesive on front of the display protection ? You didn't use the heat gun I saw, and you mentioned that it is hold in place by some clips. Thank you for the video.
+gixxer4646 The assembly we repaired in the video included the frame which requires no adhesive to the screen. The screen assembly will already be adhered to the frame.
***** Asking because I see way to many videos around with heating hop the fronts screen protection. In your video shows clearly that its hold by 4 clips.
I have a question. If battery on S6 blow itself a bit (not explode, but get big enough to open the rear cover) can that phone be fixed with just replacing the bad battery? Or bad battery comes with other problems like dead motherboard, etc? Thank you.
We offer the die cut adhesive and rolls of universal adhesive. www.fixez.com/samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-rear-battery-cover-adhesive www.fixez.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=adhesive+roll
We use a non-adjustable heatgun. The glass should be hot to the touch but not hot enough to burn you or melt any plastic parts. You are just trying to heat and soften the adhesive.
Hi, I also have a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. I accidentally inserted a micro sim instead of a nano sim in the sim card slot. Now the micro sim is jammed. How far would I have to disassemble it to remove the micro sim card?
i replaced my battery easily with one from ebay HOWEVER.. the phone will not power up propperly.. it flashes a quick green light then the light turns a bright white/blue solid color and does not respond-- i am at a loss as to what the issue could be.. any ideas thanks so much ahead of time! mike-
Massive thumbs down to samsung for trying to make it impossible for people to change their battery . If they think when the battery dies we will rush out to buy the latest model they are up a gumtree . i phone for me when my battery dies , I refuse to pay £100 to have my battery replaced, And probably another £100 for the battery!
Hello, I had a problem with charging of my phone. Alert says "batterry temperature too low" and it is not charging. So I changed the charging port. Charging worked ok, but at the 3rd or 4th charge cycle it showed the same error. I installed new charging port, but it says imidietly the same about the batterry temperature. Could anyone please tell me, what can cause this message and what else can be done to make it working properly again? Thank you!
+Adams B Possible you have a bad battery. Try a new battery and also perform a factory reset after doing so. Then see the results, if the issues continue it's possible that the issue is software related.
+Fixez.com Hello, thank you for your answer. I also changed the batterry, performed factory reset, but same problem occurs :-( Do you have any other idea, how it could be repaired? Thank you!
Not sure why the inducer was removed from the chassis? Also the board removal from the lower connector was useless. I would say only 90% for the effort!
+AdussFadass For a few reasons. In the case of a shattered screen it will prevent some shards from getting into your skin. On these videos it also helps with continuity, keeping the screens clean from shot to shot etc. Thanks for the question.

do hairdryers work as well as a heat gun? i tried using a hairdryer but the back cover was still so stiff after a good 10 minutes
try more and gently lift the back panel with a plastic tool

Did you damage your screen when doing this ?
would I be able to go somewhere to have this done?

does the inductive charger need any kind of adhesive or does it just stick there
+Joran Mcnabb No adhesive required. Simply place it on the back side of the device.

how do you glue the battery into the motherboard?

Difficult to say in all honesty. It can possibly be software related, you may need to have Samsung look at your device.
My galaxy s6 edge says battery temperature is too low and it wont charge, how can you fix that?
