I've been having a hard time catching up with everyone. I feel like I'm left behind while I'm stuck in dire straits so I fell back into depression. I isolated myself from my family, severed my ties with most of my rl friends and just frittered on about inside my house. For months I've felt like a burden to my family, especially to my mom who has diabetes. "Does she even want me here? Do I even deserve to eat in this household? Am I just dead weight?".
When I saw the people in my country suffering more than me- struggling in poverty, getting hungrier by the day, risking their lives outside to beg in the streets despite the danger of contraction, I just wondered if my feelings of dejection were just a manifestation of my wimpiness and naivete.
