- Recently I have been testing on the auto roast function on the M10 Sniper Pro.
Before you can auto roast, you must have a working roast profile that is producing good roasting results.
Hence before I can start to apply the auto roast profile, I have to create on first.
I have shown how we can do the manual roast on the M10 pro and record the roast profile in my previous video.
Today I have the roast profile saved and ready for use today.

Thank you very much for the video. You seem to be the only reliable source about the M10 online. I still doubt the capability for the automatic option to reproduce the same taste from batch to batch. I will appreciate to have your personal input on this. In all the cases congratulation for the great work.
I have been using the auto roast function repeatedly and repeatedly I get the same repeatability and consistency. That's how good the m10 pro is.
Just found this video. Hope you se this comment. I've got an M10 as well. Wondering what your values for P, I, and D are? Your heat application looks much better than mine when I roast with auto-roast. My heat is all over the place, jumping back and forth from 20-100 the entire roast, even after first crack starts.
if you haven't closed the gap between the balcony door and the door frame yet, easiest would be to take a large piece of mdf that is just long enough and thick enough to fit in the rail of the balcony door and wide enough to fit flanges for the airduct. Cut a hole in it of same size of the air duct and use two flanges, one on either side to connect the aluminium air duct.
Yes it's definitely do-able. I am just too lazy to get to that point.😊
I have yet to see you use the air blower while roasting like a convection oven so it's not cooking the center of the bean by forcing air which is a big concern for me. Am I mistaken or missing something? Thank you for the videos, great work!
Yes, when I first started, I didn't use much on the exhaust air control. Which actually causes most of my beans to have the toasty taste which is rather undesirable. I have improved my roasting techniques by understanding the various factors that can affect the quality of a roast and right now, I am using the exhaust fan control to pull out the hot air when it's required. I can manage the exhaust air fan from 0% to 100% on my demand.
What is the diameter of the exhaust tube on the M10.. Thank You!
I just got the M10 roaster but I cannot get the autoroast to work! I loaded the roast profile in background and PID on from control. However, the machine is adjusting to match my BT using ET temp. So if my profile shows 150C for BT, the machine is matching this with 150 ET by adjusting the target temperature. On control button, the source is shown as 2, which is ET which I think is ET according to what is shown under device. Can you share your settings?
i think your temp probe may be connected wrongly.
Hello! What is the maximum capacity per kilogram of this roaster per month? I plan to buy it for a coffeeshop
1kg
Thank you for another informative video. Can you tell us how you managed to fit the exhaust so snugly onto the exhaust tube?
I shall make one for you.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore thank you kind sir 🙌
this roaster is direct heating to the drum? or heat the air then pump into drum?
Infrared tube outside the drum.
Hi, Thank you for detailed description. I have M2 pro. But I can't set up the PID port. Can you share the setting value for PID (type, RS485 pro No, Modbus).
You have to.see what is your com port output for Bluetooth setting. See which port is your m2 pro Bluetooth com port using.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore I connected via Bluetooth port. What I'm curious about is the ET/BT-PID setting value. How do you set the PID type and RS485 ID?
I don't understand your question. Did your machine suppler send you a specific Artisan setting for your machine?
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore Thank you for your response. I purchased the M2 pro from Wuhan Kaleido directly. They gave a paper manual with only 10 page. There are only instruction for setting of TC4 temperature sensor.
I sent inquiries email several times to Wuhan Kaleido corporation, but I have not received any answers.
Similar to your setting, I use Artisan on Surface Pro and connect M2 Pro via Bluetooth.
When monitoring roasting, TC4 connection and temperature monitoring are doing well.
But I don't know how to swit to automatic roasting mode, to activate PID loop during automatic roasting.
How do you set the PID (type, RS485 ID) during connection using Surface.
Didn't you set these values? 1.bp.blogspot.com/-Wl0s6iX8tCo/WDbzyQBHc5I/AAAAAAAACXo/N2AonaWhao4jExb3KANJDU0heOtkN64UgCLcB/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2016-11-24%2Bat%2B14.33.17.png
Hi wondering If you control heat or drum speed from artisan it applies to M10?
Or you Just record it as reference?
this is fully manual. I am recording it so that I can use that heat curve later when I do auto roasting.
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore
So if you record on artisan it will do automatically in future or you have to record them on actual M10 roaster?
@@Ohh-v7g I can replicate the heat curve on m10 pro
if I switch to auto mode, everything is controlled on the artisan
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore thank you is is So helpful
Hi I'm from Thailand. And I'm the one who roasting coffe by m10 Pro
and I can't use air flow 10-90% In artisan , I just need to find out .
Thank you
I think you need to upgrade the fan so that you have more control over the artisan. Or check with your local Kaleido supplier for a more updated setting version of the Artisan.
Thanks for ur video. I wanna ask that, you can connect the “pro” version to ur lap and use Artisan to roast automatically?
yes I can
Hi what is minimum batch for M10?
I have tried 150g
Hello, how is your roaster work? Nothing is broke? How much kilo you have roasted already? I want to buy it to roast aprox 300 kilos per month. How do you think is it real ?
this is by no means a commercial roaster. If you are looking at 300kg per month which is 15kg per day (20 days), this machine is not capable of that.
this is a max 1.2kg output sample roaster uses infra red heating tubes. Great for home use and light use in shop (warranty cover in Singapore if use in shop will only be 3 months).
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore Thanks for your reply
@@alexblack5326 you are welcome
Can you share the file Artisan Settings (.aset) for me, thank you very much
