@@linearityhq A selection outline offset would be a great asset. I have made videos for crafters on Vectornator (did one on tracing). Your new trace options tie in well with cutter use but we often want a regular offset of an entire selected image, for print and cut. Lots of us are trying to use our iPads more and more for design of cut files and believe me, there are hundreds of thousands of domestic cutters alone - plus professionals. A good market to tap into.
Ive been using Inkscape for my Vectors but I'm watching these tutorials now because I'm cutting vinyl and get the feeling this software is going to be far superior for designing signage! Thanks for the vid
new to digital design....I have to say, the ability to change tools is handy, I'm at the part where I'm getting used to eraser, and switching colors correctly between tools and parts of the illustration. I love traditional drawing!lol

This app is so helpful omg. I haven’t done graphic design in over 10 years but the app is so intuitive for me. I find it a little difficult remembering some of the icon functionalities. Is there a way to turn on hover names for the icons?
If using iOS, we recommend switching on the in-app Help Mode. This will reveal each tool's name and function when it is tapped. There isn't currently a macOS version of this feature but we will pass on your interest to the team!
I can’t select individually after image trace and it’s ungroup for sure but still can’t select individually It keeps selecting all when I change color It change to all color What should I do? Help
@@linearityhq Yes I just updated and tried again adjusting setting and tried about 10 different times. Sorry it’s still not quite there. It was a very basic 3 color image. Solid colors with very defined edges. Still easier to just do it manually if fidelity is at all important. I experienced corners rounded over, whole sections omitted. LightBurn did a far superior job, but still wasn’t good enough. Im on the latest iPad Pro so hardware isn’t the issue. Vectornator for mobile vector creation awesome. The Auto Trace 👎 It’s getting there so keep up the good work, and don’t feel bad; Adobe Illustrator still can’t get it right either. It always has colors cross over and create weird issues that show up in any kind of cutting application. Print no issues, but cutting always issues. Maybe bring the Neural engine into it. Like I said I ended up doing it manually. Perhaps find a way to let the AI learn from users doing it manually. 1-3 years every new iPad will have Neural cores.

I'm a big fan of the app but not having great results with the new auto trace. the sketch mode is okay but photography fails for me completely...just returns large coloured blobs no matter the settting. not possible to adjust from 100% complexity for some reason...? also, it would be helpful if the complexity and contrast settings would stay after undo. that way you could tweak without starting from the automatic default.

The auto trace on lineart creates filled in solid shapes.
