I never get any pop up that lets me change any auto trace settings. It just traces and usually 30% of the image vanishes. Doesn’t matter what image I import. I’ve never once had auto trace work correctly in this app, and it’s literally the reason I installed it I’ve gone through the setting countless times and I find nothing that lets me get any auto trace options/toolbar or any such methods of adjusting the auto trace settings Then once the image is auto traced it’s not even vector it’s just a ratorized image with parts of it missing.
Does it means that Vectornator transforms the regular image into vector art with all the properties of the vector art, so could be used for posters for example? Thank you
How come I don’t have any of these tools in my app ?? Just downloaded the latest version and nothing looks like this. That’s a pretty frustrating experience ……
We hear ya! The Photography Auto Trace feature will be improved soon. And with Sketch Trace, make sure you experiment case by case. What exactly about your results is off?
Hey hey! We require iOS 13.0 or later as many of the additions and changes in the newest version of Vectornator are based on the latest iOS technologies. Cheers! ✌️
@@Imrakin7 I’m an Illustrator user myself, over 20 years. But when it comes to this feature, Vectornator is way above Adobe. I remember when Adobe had a an app called Streamline. It was only for converting raster images to vector. It allowed the user to adjust parameters and other settings before saving. They stopped making it in the very early 2000s, maybe 1999. But when they brought the feature to Illustrator (live trace), it’s just Object - Live Trace, no settings, no parameters. But Vectornator does what Streamline used to, and more. Plus other features. I’m also working on my iPad Pro. Adobe has stripped down the features of both Illustrator and Photoshop for iPad. Vectornator for iPad is the same as the desktop version. That’s why I feel they are tough competition for Illustrator.
I can not figure out for the life of me how to trim a image from a box. To a pattern on the edges . I’m order to layer two images with out the layered image being a box. This is crazy, does anyone know how to use the scissors tool? I have been doing this for 5hrs. I converted the images to SVC so they are vector. But the demonstrators are not walk through. I only have the free version on vectornator. Thanks any help would be appreciated I can’t find a new video of cut w scissors with the newer software of vectornator. Thank yalll!
I am in the same boat and I came from using Photoshop and I cannot find a cut button to cut away the edges I don’t know where these things saved to when you save them everybody talks about importing and exporting and on an iPad Pro I don’t have a clue where they’re going or how to use them and any other program ends I get done with them!
just upgraded to 4.6.1 and still not able to make the photography autotrace work at all...just get coloured blobs and not able to change the complexity slider down from 100%. sketch autotrace is working well enough from a sketch or photo. ipad pro gen4 12.9", iOS 15.3.1

Tried a few photographs and sketches with different combinations of the two sliders, didn’t come with a good results as the video.🤔

So every time i try and trace a simple logo, it always rounds out sharp corners unnecessarily.
How do you get to the Auto Trace in the Style tab? Mine does not show Auto Trace there.
