  • In 1991, Tengen brought Ms. Pac-Man to the NES, SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive, and SEGA Master System - a SNES version would later be distributed by Williams Entertainment in 1996. Their take on the game featured a wide variety of extras to play around with, including difficulties, multiplayer modes, maze types, and the Pac-Booster (which allowed Ms. Pac to be faster if enabled).
The Crazy difficulty is the closest one can get to experiencing the speed-enhanced Ms. Pac-Man on home consoles, albeit with one notable catch: The ghosts are also incredibly fast.
There are 32 levels in Tengen's Ms. Pac-Man, with an actual ending awaiting the player at the end of the road. However, if you want to reach it, you may NOT want to play the game on Crazy.

Ms. Pac NES is one of my personal favorite Tengen offerings, since it's super accurate to the original and REALLY (and I mean REALLY) fun to play around with! Don't even dare compare it to the later "official" one that was just a Namcot Pac asset flip.
