Love it. He made awesome choices everywhere. The new Road Glide bottom fairing looks great. I always hate chin fairings, but it completes the look so well that it looks stock to me. I'd definitely get it if I had a compatible Road Glide. Thank you for the video. It's really great seeing guys' bikes.

Like all the other comments I agree the speaker lights would drive me crazy just watching as you were riding it was messing with my eyes. Hey Matt, another great vid on a great build. Question, did you find the CVO Road Glide less peppy than the CVO Street Glide? Also, if I want to make a performance bagger, would the CVO be the best place to start, or would a special( more inclined towards Road Glide) be a better place to start, in your opinion?
To your first question I would say slightly because the CVO RG has the larger front wheel which takes away some of the agility. Personally I wouldn’t start with a CVO for an involved performance bagger build. The reason is you’d be tearing apart a 40k bike. You buy a CVO to do very little to. If I wanted a bat wing performance bagger I’d probably start with the FLHT now that it’s out. It all depends. If you want the blacked out look then maybe start with a special. It just depends on your end vision and the most cost effective way to get there.

I know builds beyond stage one they use adjustable push rods. how reliable are they and long term do they need adjusting. that is one thing that bothers me. I can understand why but is it long term reliable. now on the stage 4 they are doing pistons and heads right so do they use adjustable there or are they using a fixed length push rod. a short vlog on this kind of stuff would be interesting to me. good stuff man. keep it coming.
So performance work done within 60-days of purchase is covered under warranty but outside that time frame it's not? Or is that just at your particular dealer? Jan 1, 2020 is my 60-day mark but I'm not ready to pull the trigger on that
Some ideas for videos... comparisons, how about a dyna vs 18+ softail, or reviews of older models using your new rating system. Laidlaws has plenty of used bikes to try. I loved the video with your great uncle if I’m not mistaken riding around on a super old bike, but even some not too old stuff would be cool to see. We want to see more bikes!
Ian Crandall Bob is my grandpa. Thank you for the suggestions. In a lot of my 2018 review videos like the low rider, Fatboy, and breakout I used the older dynas and softails for comparisons. I’ll take your ideas and see if I can put them into action. Thanks.

I'm torn right now. Do I get an older 103ci Road Glide, and eventually upgrade to a stage 3 or 4 kit, or get the new m8 Road Glide? My plan is to keep the bike for a loooong time. Go big or go home? Idk lol.
There was talk of problems with the stage 4. Obviously, they must be resolved (or just internet yammer). What’s the real story on that and is there now a fix (if it was a problem) ? Another great video btw. Thanks for helping us snow covered viewers get through the winter (although I got another 2 months of snow).
Sumping has been a known issue on the M8. Most bikes will never have a problem. Of all the M8s, with and without stage 3/4, we have had probably 5-7 in our service department that have had the sumping issue. It isn’t a wide spread issue like some people want you to believe. Harley has changed the oil pump a few times to combat the problem. We haven’t seen any sump that have the latest oil pump. Stage 4 bikes are more prone to the problem because of the higher RPM they run at. Every bike that we have seen with engine problems have all been fully covered under warranty and the owners got replacement parts installed etc. free of charge. Watch Andrews street glide video.

Mr Laidlaw. I enjoy your videos. If you are looking for ideas for future vids, I suggest a vid on how to protect your bike from theft. Not everyone has a fancy Harley anti theft system installed. And based on all the recent negative feedback from bike week in Daytona it seems timely for this type of informational video.

Matt...here is a wax/polish..that you need to try. It is expensive...but the results are the best that I have ever seen..in my 69 yrs on this Planet...it is...Top Coat...F-11...liquid...wax/polish...it was applied to my 2016 Ultra Classic..twisted cherry- sunburst red...and it is the best I have ever seen...period...fyi.wind in yer face...always be safe.. Question... I love my Ducati but the boss (my wife) wants to start riding with me. She wants to be comfortable and I am looking for recommendations for an H-D. I know NOTHING about them. I love the power to weight ratio of my bike and I am so new to the touring bikes. Any recommendations?
Watch some of my review video. I cover a lot of this stuff. You’re gonna want a bagger so Street Glide or Road glide. Maybe a road king if you don’t like the fairing or don’t need the radio. Get the passenger back rest that clips onto the docking hardware. That’s a must for passengers.
Don't worry man, I'm always looking out for cops when you're on the throttle in the vids. Might be 17 hours after the fact and on a laptop on the other coast, but I've got your back, hahah.

My 2018 Street Glide Special with a stage 4 is at the dealer now after sumping for the first time. 8k kms since kit was installed
Easy fix... when u do the stage 4... spend that type of money just go ahead and buy a new oil pump
