There's no dip stick on filler cap, there's a level window on the right side with H & L on for high & low. When the bike is level & off the stand you will get a correct reading.
Graham little I didn't take the fairing off to top up with oil just to get at the 17mm sump bolt underneath to drain the oil. You will have to remove the belly pan part to do this. The original oil filler cap was soft like painted copper or some alloy & bent. At the time I had the side casting off to get at the clutch, so I hit the inside of the casting where it screws in with a blow torch. That loosened it up & it came out with a screwdriver, after sawing a slot across the top of the chewed nut head, then I replaced it with a spare from CMPO which is much better. If your having this problem it's a pain. A shop may be able to sort it. I recommend you put it or a new one back in with a touch of oil on the threads & don't overtightened it. It would seem they impact driver them in. I used two funnels linked together to get the oil in. Some oil bottles have an long arm that pulls out the lid though, it's slow going to squeeze it in but, it works. I Will add that since I changed the oil cap for the spare it comes off like in the vid no trouble.
Actually with great difficulty. You may be fine but, mine was so tight the nut deformed when I went to loosen it. I undone the casing & hit it from the inside with a blowtorch around the thread (doing so outside would damage the paint). This damaged the rubber o ring & I had to order a new cap & ring (I had to anyway, it was deformed). But it's been fine with the replacement. I just remember to add a little oil on the thread & don't over tighten, like the factory did.
WorldMinuteOne Because it gets dark early here in winter, it needed to be done there & then. & people were asking for a oil change vid. I got one done in summer but need to blurr reg out.
James Barratt directly underneath the engine block. Remove the belly pan to get to it. Whatever it says in the vid, either 17mm or 19mm bolt. I think it's 17mm.
Awesome. I bought this bike with 800km on it. The thing had sat in a garage for two years. So changing oil and carburettor because gunked up and hopefully was the cause of it not starting. Ignition fine and compression. Do you think these bikes are reliable? Im thinking to fix it and sell it fast.
Mangy Dog Yeah, unfortunately it's winter, not many daylight hours. Even though it's better to let it settle to do it at night. Unfortunately with digital cameras you get you get in dull light. Still there should be enough info to see where I am in relation to each part around the engine? It's 3pm & I have to stretch the chain again, it's already dark.
Heh yeah in norfolk here just had my bike out in the drizzle getting some practice in... Just need to do a quick oil change and i couldnt work out what nut to loosen :D so quick you tube check
Mangy Dog Just be careful with the filler cap nut. The first one chewed up under an open ended spanner. It was copper or something painted black! The replacement was ok, similar to the caps on garden equipment engines.
Oh i managed to do the change on my bike :D And not chew the nut too much. I think mine is aluminium, still very very soft its already been rounded a little by previous owner and was put on farrrrrrrr too tight. Out of interest what top speed did you get your bike? im struggling to get above 50 on mine.
I would order a new one to replace it next time. I've actually got the bike to 70 odd. You can actually see the speedo in the one vid on here, when I realize I've gone over the limit & slow down. You really need to almost red line 4th gear before changing into 5th to get a good speed.
I got a Lexmoto XTRS ......where is the dip stick. Is it visable without taking fairing off?

What oil goes into the cap at the other side of the bike that you can open with a flathead screwdriver??
Hello. Can you please tell me how much oil I should put into my XTRS 125? I do not have a manual so not too sure.
Where do I refill engine oil please
Right side engine casing. Top.
@@ashleymcgovern5120 brilliant thank you
how did you get the filler cap off. mine is soft and did you take fairings off to fill with oil?

how did you undo the oil cap

Why would youd do a video in the dark?

Dark image. Cant see anything much. Where's the oil drain plug?

not to be a party pooper. your presentation is fine.... But i really cant see anything. its far too dark :/
