- In this video we visit Big Sur and the Plaskett Creek Campground. We document our travels to Big Sur along the famous Highway 1. We take multiple hikes and visit the Sand Dollar Beach and provide information on the campground.

Oh.. it was so awesome. The campgrounds are dry.. and they had an Ecoli outbreak.. so we didn't have water.. but we brought our own.. so no problem. It was just right across from the beach.. which was so awesome. Totally dog friendly too and lots of trails. The Campground is so beautiful !!

How did the Toyota Rav4 Prime perform.. you need to do a review of the car from all your views.. driver, passenger and pups👍
The Rav4 Prime is awesome !! I have that sucker totally loaded up. I have a roof rack and a cargo basket on the hitch. I can definitely feel the weight but the prime handles it no problem. I will be getting an aliner camper this winter.. so it will be interesting to see how it tows that. I'll be doing some gear reviews at some point.. so maybe i'll consider the prime a piece of gear. Thanks for the kind comments !!

Anyway, im confused because ReserveCalifornia told me today that dogs are not allowed on trails or beaches anywhere on California?!?!

It depends.. Most California "State" Parks don't allow dogs. But many county/city parks or National Forests do. On our Big Sur video, we visited a beach that was part of a national forest (I think). It allows dogs. Another video I did was about Carmel, California and Montery. Carmel's beach is a city beach, and they allow dogs (off leash). The monterey beach also allows dogs. Make sure you checkout that video. Wife wanted to add that dogfriendly.com is a good resource.. if you don't use it already.. Also the campgrounds that we stayed in we're either national forest campgrounds or city campgrounds. Look at recreation.gov.
