And I had to laugh so hard when I saw that you brought kanelbullar to Philipp. I commented on his videos in the summer that he would fall in love with them. So hard not to have them here and the baking takes so much time. Have to make some for Christmas.

My grandmother used to bring them to Vienna at Christmas and my father pretended not to be into them….then he ate some of them at night, thinking we would not notice 🤣 Also, I was happy to hear that Anna and you really want to pick up my suggestion with the filling of the cracks in the marble using the Kintsugi technique. Can‘t wait to see it. I would love to be part of it, have not idea how to do it though 🤔🙈. But I could ask a ceramicist to find out and I think there are some useful TH-cam videos. And whilst we are at it, we could implement a kanelbulle baking session, what do you think? My Swedish cousin has a great recipe!

Find some old Persian rugs,,10x12..8x12..the Bigger ones are cheaper as there is less demand for them but you have Big rooms...also Rugs help with the Accoustics...better for recording...less Echos
It was so lovely to see you in France with Anna an Phillip. Their home is so different from yours both location (country) and design wise. They are minimalists for sure and Anna is so talented with her design for fabric color and wall coverings. I do hope you asked Anna to design some wall covering for your little vanity room, maybe using a floral design significant to Sweden. If it was my place I would've tried to find a beautiful antique/vintage tapestry, pure French style to fit into the space above the fire place and maybe into another space? Not heavy ones, just enough to give a vintage vibe? What about......Maybe you can find a tapestry artist to make a portrait of each of you? Oh it will suit your chateau class so well, I can clearly see Philip dressed up into vintage clothes, filling a panel with his vintage charm . The colour you've painted the room lend it self to antique tapestries. Maybe I'm bias.?....hehe!

As a philosophy, kintsugi is similar to the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect. Japanese aesthetics values marks of wear from the use of an object. This can be seen as a rationale for keeping an object around even after it has broken; it can also be understood as a justification of kintsugi itself, highlighting cracks and repairs as events in the life of an object, rather than allowing its service to end at the time of its damage or breakage. The philosophy of kintsugi can also be seen as a variant of the adage, "Waste not, want not".

I find Anna and Phillip's style to be very minimalist. Even in the completed guest bedrooms. Quite stark decor.
Give it time and those rooms will fill up with the rugs, books, paintings that they are missing right now. There are beautiful modern rugs and paintings out there somewhere it just takes time.
The guest rooms are stunning! The simplicity allows the historical charm of the chateau to really shine! It’s always fascinating to see how different design choices can bring out a home’s personality! 😊

I agree that soft furnishings like curtains would do these rooms great help. Sadly, I’ve found so many room here as being cold. Even rooms painted in warm colors.
There are a lot of things that need to come together and play in concert with each other to achieve the desired effect!

They are minimalists for sure and Anna is so talented with her design for fabric color and wall coverings. I do hope you asked Anna to design some wall covering for your little vanity room, maybe using a floral design significant to Sweden. I am sure it was a wonderful visit for both couples as well as the children. Thank you for taking us along.

If it was my place I would've tried to find a beautiful antique/vintage tapestry, pure French style to fit into the space above the fire place and maybe into another space? Not heavy ones, just enough to give a vintage vibe? What about......Maybe you can find a tapestry artist to make a portrait of each of you? Oh it will suit your chateau class so well, I can clearly see Philip dressed up into vintage clothes, filling a panel with his vintage charm . The colour you've painted the room lend it self to antique tapestries. Maybe I'm bias.?....hehe!
Lovely!! I would put the blue L-shaped sofa upstairs in another family room and buy lovely new sofas for this room.
