Yes. Although some of the humour is a bit cringe or simply not funny, I like to 'time-travel' back as I was too young to take it all in at the time (born '72), so seeing the fashions, the cars, etc., and the location-shoots are very interesting to me. So many familiar faces we grew up with.
All the tributes to Sir Bruce have failed to mention this program as I worked in a supermarket when this was on I though I it was funny and he did 2 series of this so its a shame it did not get a mention RIP Sir Bruce
Sebastina Farquarharson WOW! You are so sad, lady. The guy was only trying to make a statement, and all you can do is berate him for his lack of punctuation. GET A LIFE!!!!! .....,,,,,,;;;;:::;””””???? Is that enough for you? 🙄🙄
That’s because it wasn’t considered to be one of his better moments. Apparently it wasn’t particularly successful so they down played that he was in it. I disagree. I love it. And I love Bruce. I also loved trippers day with Leonard rossitor.
Sounds like you’re looking for gold in a coal mine. There’s lots of well written, hilarious comedies coming out at the moment, you just need to look beyond primetime, BBC1 & ITV slots; as granted, they’re reserved for shite!
As a former bus/coach driver, I can castiron assure you that not one of my colleagues at our yard had any time for it, either shown originally or on repeat. My dumb ex-wife liked the bloody awful steaming pile of sh👁️te....
I've fe;lt liked throwing a can from the stock at somebody myself and who, working on a shopfloor, hasn't felt like putting the window through (its what working on the retail shopfloor does to you).
It was commissioned for a second series already but due to original star Leonard Rossiter's death, Thames roped in Bruce Forsyth purely for contractual obligation.
Typical top boss from head office. passing idiotic directives down ont to floor staff and not knowing t about how murder fantasy brewing life on the shopfloor is.
During the lockdown i watched a lot of 80s comedies and tv shows. Comfort and escapism to counter the crazy days of 2020 🙇
Snap
Yes to counter the great deception
Colin's Sandwhich is good....

I did mean to pick this whole series up today, I saw it somewhere for £1, I loved Bruce, he was such a legend
I'm afraid you got ripped off.
@James Fisher That’s a good bargain. Yes, Bruce was such a legend. 😃
Fantastic thanks
It's not any worse than other programmes of it's time nostalgia is a wonderful thing
Huge thanks for the upload
Pity there are none of the Leonard Rossiter clips on here but Brucie did quite a good job.
I have never heard of this program and didn't know Bruce Forsyth was an actor, reminds me of Inspector Blakey On the buses.
I know this may not be the best comedy.... but Brucie is still good in it!!
Love it

Muriel Barker - Have you ever heard of sentences? Full stops?

Like watching 80s sitcoms nice
Me too. Pure escapism.
i was wondering if you had anymore of this series Slinger's Day please and thankyou
Funny 😄
Not the funniest sitcom, but still great for nostalgia alone. I’ve been looking to see this again for 35 years.
29p for cat food? You can't get it under £2.90 now
We need more sitcoms, kids need to start script writing 👍
It is surprisingly dry humour from Vince Powell who also wrote Mind Your Language and Love Thy Neighbour...It's very PC!
Do you have series 2 episode 2, "Whose Baby"?
Try working on the shopfloor and you'll know why people want to put the shop window through.
I know it's corny but it's funny.
Although clearly not perfect far funnier than current uk sitcom offerings
is nt that like comparing two turds. this is bad. I m glad Brucy did nt do any more sit coms this was not his thing.
Gavin Thorburn I like it
Much funnier than Shitizen Khan or Mrs Brown's Turds.

@@sarahcrews2544 me too x
It's so bad, it's good. I loved Bruce, so anything he did was ok for me.
cvsdigital I actually really like it! I've never watched it before, being from the states. But I found i quite like it :)
Yeah, everything except when he hosted The Price IS Right. Career ruining choice for me.
@@stuartsharman3055 I actually thought he was quite good in that.
How similar were Brucie & Rigsby! Brilliant both; sitcoms Trippers/Slingers less so, but better than todays trashy UK comedy!
Both are combined in the person of John McDonnell
I know it isn't real but NONE of this goes on in a supermarket as I work on a shopfloor myself.
It was written by the man that gave us Man About The House & George & Mildred....
Man About The House was fairly good, but George & Mildred was dire, similar to the abysmal level of On The Buses!
@@Ross.Cavendish On The Buses maybe dire these days but it was very successful in the 70's , 10 series & 3 very popular feature films...

Not auld Brucey boys finest hour, you know what I mean
Paul Little
No, we don’t know what you mean; please explain.
Wise to axe it! Brucie was much better as a TV host & (e.g.) game show presenter, though surprised it went to a second series.
canned laughter. suitable for a supermarket based sitcom. 😐
It was commissioned for a second series already but due to original star Leonard Rossiter's death, Thames roped in Bruce Forsyth purely for contractual obligation.
This was a load of old rubbish. Old Bruce Forsyth is still alive and may God bless him. He was too good for this series.

@@agrafes6 he spoke too soon 3 years ago?
Painfully corny and predictable, reminds me of a Panto " it's behind you"
Oh lord the Krankies would seem quite normal if they were in this
My Dad knew you!!
It reminds me of ‘When the whistle blows’ from Extras
Jesus Christ.........I mean Jesus Christ!
Where ?
God this is bloody bad- it’s sort of watchable in a painful way though I’ll admit

It's not even on IMDB or Wiki, it must have been bad...
....thats bad haha
This series was really the pits. Should have stuck to game shows and feeling up Anthea.
That is the worst music known to humanity
