A very Blessed Bealane to you. I really enjoyed that. Where could I find it in a book? A collection of tales like these would be awesome! It's easy to see where CS Lewis got source material for his books when hearing tales like these. Listening I kept thinking about Narnia and all its magical occurrences. :)
I haven't seen it in a book. I think there are various versions from different eras printed online. At some point someone printed up those versions and gave me copies. I based my retelling on those and on the classic ballad. Here's one version of the ballad on TH-cam. There are several. th-cam.com/video/2EgbSkEiH2g/w-d-xo.html.
@@witchways yes I did, that’s how I know it had disappeared, as I was going to leave you a smile and a thumbs up. And it’s strange that your reply isn’t showing in my notifications but did come into my email box. Perhaps it’s because I put the website for Abbotsford in the message, maybe YT don’t like that? Thanks for replying Collette, may the coming Full Moon bring abundance to your garden and anywhere else you would like it 🙏🏻🥰x
I hope you had a very happy Beltane, Collette!
I did. I went a a beautiful hike with a dear friend.
Really enjoyed this. I sat with my cup of tea and last piece of walnut cake to listen. More stories like this most welcome xx
Thank you Claire! I will likely tell a tale or two now and then.🥀
Was up at Rhymer's Stone this morning, thanks for sharing!
I'm sure you can still hear a faint gallop in the distance if you listen carefully ;)
That sounds wonderful!
You tell a good tale!
Thank you! So someday you might hear me humming the ballad of it on the hike🤩
