  • Kitchari is a porridge-like one pot wonder filled with mung beans, rice, vegetables, herbs, and spices. It’s great for removing toxins out of your body; it restores nutrition; it’s easy to digest; and packed with protein. It’s the ultimate healing comfort food. If you’re new to being vegan or would like to eat healthier in general without sacrificing flavor, then this is the dish to try.

I made this recipe and it was the best kitchari I have ever had by far! My husband even liked it so much he said it's one of his new favorites - and he normally eats meat and doesn't even like rice and bean dishes.

Kitchari is a staple Ayurvedic Indian dish and recipe, so nice to see a Korean aping this Indian dish with a Korean twist....Well done for being Vegan Chef Atulya, not many Oriental Asians are Vegan, so its nice to see a Korean make healthy Vegan dishes.

I forgot to mention that this recipe yields 6-8 servings. :-)

Kitcheri is meant as cleansing meal. It supposed to have very few ingredients. This might be a great recipe but not for a cleanse.

My mom breaks up a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and adds that while the Kichari is cooking.

I tried this recipe today. Not wanting to have too much left over for us two, I cut the recipe in half exactly, and it came out fantastic. The kale stems were added with the broccoli and cauliflower. Thank you!

I love the fact that you are not using makeup, just a shining face that must be because of the natural food intake!

Thank you for organizing ingredients and preparation times separately and so clearly in this recipe. KITCHARI is certainly not a dish that can be prepared in a hurry. Excellent visuals and sound in your video and I have decided to follow you.

I make kitcheri a lot but this version with all the veggies looks so much better, I’ll definitely be making it soon. I love your presentation. Thank you 😊

Soo appreciate all the little helpful hints such as cutting veggies so they fit on spoon and mixing spices before hand. Definitely will keep viewing.

Oh!!! Fabulous. It is the best we've had and I was missing Fenugreek and Asaefotida. I have ordered them. My husband was over the moon about this. It feels so good in the belly! Thank you so much for you care and attention to presenting this wonderful recipe to us.
