Love it Fil! You literally knocked it out of the (skate) park with this edit! 😅 The mix of real and RC car footage was most ingenious indeed, added a whole lot of extra goodness to the feel of the video. The little MB01 actually looked to be driving very nicely out there, that shot of it sliding along the top of the ramp at 2:32 was EPIC! More of the same, please my man! 🤗🤗👍👍
Thanks Mark! I'm glad you liked that rail slide shot on the ramp, believe it or not, I pulled that off on my first take! I tried it about a dozen more times with different angles, looking to make it even more epic, but I couldn't replicate it. Which isn't surprising, seeing as I'm driving an MB-01 in the rain, lol! 😄👊🏼
Thanks Craig! It took a while to get this one out, but I'm happy with the end result. Now as for the car... That's another story... More on that later. 😄👊🏼
I have wanted a real GTA for a long time. However, after watching this I think I would rather have the RC version. It's way cheaper, I can do much riskier things and not have to worry about ending up in the hospital, cheaper and quicker to fix if I crash (and not worrying about will I survive), and If I want to change it up, I can swap bodies for cheap. It's a win all over!!!!!!
I was not expecting a first run like that! It was cool but the skate park was the last place I would have expected it to be at! LOL! It is a good looking car and seemed to do well out there!!
EXCELLENT video Fil great editing with the mix of the real thing and the RC version! Looks great in action mate! Yours needs a little driver dude in it though!😉
Thanks James! It was a fun project to work on, and I'm happy with how this video turned out. Now I just need to get a little mini-me driver in there somehow... 😆
Congratulations Fil 👏👏 Another stunning video. I'm just very surprised that this beautiful TAMIYA Alfa body is still in one piece... Keep up with your excellent content Fil. 😎
Thanks Paul. This was a really fun video to put together, I'm glad you like how it turned out! The Alfa is one tough little car, the body has a few lumps, but it was worth it for some of those shots. 😆👊🏼
Thanks dude, I really appreciate the most excellent comment! This Alfa is gonna get track tested, that's for sure! Haha! More to come down the line, too. Have a great weekend! 👊🏼
Oh yeah how cool the have that footage of the real car blended in with your excellent shots of your Tamiya. There is something very satisfying about seeing a road car doing jumps like that. Such a lovely looking car. Top work all round mate 😁👍👍
Thanks Pete! It was a fun project to work on. Trying to tell a story of a little Alfa race car that really gets the viewers blood pumping. Glad you enjoyed it! 😉
Haha nice dude, glad you liked it! That's the plan moving forward, baby. Over-the-top, cinematic RC videos! A little synth, some cheesey 80's editing, and all the feels! 🤗🤗🤗
Haha thanks brother! True story, I hit that 50/50 on my first take! I tried it another dozen times with different camera angles, but couldn't get even close to nailing it again! Lol! 🤣
I'd say it handled like a bag of hammers, possibly worse. Seriously! Now, the roads were wet, I'll give it that, but the rear end slop on this car makes it non-drivable in the RWD configuration. I'm going to have to try the FWD configuration and see how that goes. 👊🏼
Thank you! Yeah, this one took a couple days of filming and about 9-10 hours of editing for 4 minutes of Alfa goodness. Haha. I appreciate the excellent comment, and thanks for watching! 🍻👊🏼😁
Wow!!! Watching your run videos is starting to feel like a trip to the movies Fil! Firstly, have to commend you on such a cool, smooth and well blended edit.... I'm betting a lot of time went into this one, but boy did it work! Loving the transitions between the real car and the model. Surprisingly the skate park proved to be a very fitting test drive location. That thing looked surprisingly astute and nimble out there, especially bearing in mind the wet conditions. So, are you impressed with the new chassis design? And, how did the paper thin body hold up? Great video matey! 👍 👍 👍
Thanks James, I really appreciate that excellent comment! That's the goal moving forward, my man. I want the viewers to be excited about a running video. I plan on pouring a LOT of effort into them, and really try and create that "event" feeling whenever a new one is ready. You mentioned going to the movies, and that's a great example of the anticipation and excitement I'm trying to create. It's taking some time, as I'm a fully self-taught videographer, but the quality is getting there... I'll keep making 'em if you all keep watching 'em! Haha. Cheers brother, have an excellent weekend! 👍🏻 🍻
