I almost had a heart attack, when I saw no records after coping the form into my mobile but went back to watch your video and OOOOO my God super easy. Please I prefer the 2nd way of transferring the form into my Epi Info. Mobile. Easy Pesy, Lemon Squeezy.
Transferring the form from Windows to mobile stressed me up and I was about to chat you up on TG. I just kept trying and trying and I have gotten it after 24 hours. You are excellent at this Sir and I appreciate you. Thank you 🙏
Great feedback Emmanuel. The workflow is to simply create the questionnaire on the PC, then transfer to the mobile for data collection, do small analysis on the mobile. For more advanced analysis, transfer the data to PC . I hope this helps
it is really helpful for me. Thank you so much for your style of teaching. The method i like is copy from your system and paste which the method i used. izzzy pizzy😆😆
I must say, Sir, you are blessed with the gift of simplifying complex things. I copied the template to my mail and then to Epi Info for mobile. Easy peasy!
Sir you are the best facilitator otherwise learning this course wouldn't have been easy you've equipped us with lots of knowledge to be honest I've never heard of many of the applications you taught your reward is with god. Wishing you success in all your endeavors.
Great video sir. I prefer the second method and that's what i used. It wasn't difficult at all. But i noticed my questions were not as i arranged them on the epi info for PC. My question 1 came last and the first question appearing was 2.
Than you for simplifying and demystifying epi info. I prefer the second method of transferring questionnaire to epi info mobile. Infact when I started using the first method I had to abort it after about 5minutes of waiting. It looks like the program has frozen. I have a question: Can I send this template for participants to fill and submit to me? Will I get to see the data entered by participants for me to analyze?
Thank you very much sir for an exhilarating and super awesome Epi Info mobile instruction video😊 The second option would be my preferred option, thanks. 😊
This was a very intriguing lesson i learnt alot To me the first method of transferring your entry form from PC to mobile was easy but time consuming so as much as i would love the easy way i cannot wait so i rather prefer the second method
Thank you for always making things look so easy Sir. I do have a question; for Master dissertation here in Nigeria, which software is better for public health data analysis? SPSS, epi info or which?
Well I find both methods ok but is there a third like what we have with ODK. where the data collector can download the files from the database. Cause am imagining if I have over 50 data collectors that are not that IT survy will have to go through either of the two processes for 50 devices.
Great question Marcel, yes you can use epi info cloud and web but it is quite complicated to set up for most people and it’s not free. I will be dropping a video on that soon God willing. I guess any survey requiring up to 50 data collectors should be ready to set up a real server and pay for such services. I hope this helps?
@@EpiInfoforRookiesE4R Thanks that will work out, was just inquiring if it was possible. Don't have such a project as yet. Thanks for the prompt response.
second method is better. i have challenge with my form. While creating my form on PC, i dropped question 1 on the canvas, then went on to drop question 3 because they were of same field type. then i dropped number two, ad dragged to re-arrange them in the right other. However, when i sent it to mobile, i realised the mobile version is in the order 1,3,2, instead of 1,2,3. Is there a way to resolve this without aving to delete the form and start afresh?
Great question sir, I am glad you were able to use the tutorial well. The questions are arranged in the order in which you drop them on the canvas but in the backend there is a tab order. So just right click on the canvas and click “Tab” and then select “Show tab order” you will see the order in a small black box above each question. Just click on it to arrange the order or set a new order. You don’t need to start afresh. I hope this helps?
That’s a great question Yasin! Yes, you can do data collection with the same form on multiple devices and collect them together into a single sync file for analysis 👍
Great question Pradip. Watch this video on how to do data analysis using PC How to analyze data using Epi Info For PC. th-cam.com/video/_HimV0kW4dM/w-d-xo.html
great question Muazu, yes you can customize it on mobile but only on the IOS version. This functionality is not available on the Epi info companion for Android.
Thank you very much. Your presentation is very good and very helpful. I used Epi info years ago, it was a MS DOS version (Old times !!!) . First time I’m using this windows version. I have a few questions: 1) How go back directly to the questionnaire form when you are in the Enter data form ? 2) My variable is : ##.##; if I want to introduce 12.50, no problem. But if I introduce 7.20, I need to introduce 07.20, otherwise 72 will be recorded. Is there a way to change that ? 3) Is there a need to save the record at the end of the form ? Thank you very much, Hung
This have been my thoughts for some time after I got this Epi info, but now this video have answered my questions
Great! Let’s keep learning together

Thanks. Transferring the form to a mobile device is far better than collecting the data into Epiifo PC and copying it to a mobile device.
Great feedback Emmanuel. The workflow is to simply create the questionnaire on the PC, then transfer to the mobile for data collection, do small analysis on the mobile. For more advanced analysis, transfer the data to PC . I hope this helps

Great video sir. I prefer the second method and that's what i used. It wasn't difficult at all. But i noticed my questions were not as i arranged them on the epi info for PC. My question 1 came last and the first question appearing was 2.
