Regor, I've tried all those molds. The end pieces don't always hold and by cutting the pvc I don't have to tug forever to get the soap out. I also don't have to wait 3-4 days before removing it. And I waste very little because the tape leaves my soap flat on the bottom. I make a premium soap, so I don't like to waste any of it. The PVC caps waste more than I would like, I have to replace them too often, and the PVC molds don't always sit flat with them. So...that's my reason for cutting the PVC.

My dear Druann nice of you to share, however, I would never have that kind of time or patients to do what you do to stop that from leaking. There are other videos out there where the soap just slides out of the PCP pipe when lined. You can also just pop it in the freezer for 10 minutes and it will slid out. You can buy ends for your pipe and just put one strip of tape around the bottom, viola. They will stand nicely in your stand. Like the stand.
The paper will naturally want to hug the sides, but when it won't, I tape some blue painter's tape and tack the paper to the top of the mold in several places. It's not usually necessary to tape the bottom. You can also hold the paper in place while you are pouring, but who really has extra hands?
You don't need it to tape it if you buy the covers that come with it when you go by your plight look for her 3 inch pipe covers caps sorry and they fit perfectly my advice to you you have great ideas thank you

The dollar store has cutting mats I tape and line Pringles cans with , I pull it out with top of mat clean and reuse it.

How do you put the freezer paper in for it not to move when you add the soap? Thanks
