you people should read the novels by Yoshikawa, they are the ones telling the story of musashi and it is the main ressource that inspired the manga ! they are amazing pieces

This manga and Musashi Miyamoto prompted me to buy a bokken and sparked my interest in sword fighting. It is a shame that there are no kenjutsu sections in my city. I'm afraid to start practicing because I can learn the wrong way.

There is a final chapter that Inoue himself drew at some event called 'The Last'. It skips right to the end and doesn't really explain what happened in between the end of the farming arc and the finale but its some type of closure if you will. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend checking it out!
