"Where there's a Salamangreat Will, there's a way" what a chad xD
Hey, it's me! Nick Diakiw here, thanking HakunaMyData for publishing this video and all their awesome support in creating it. Hope everyone enjoys all the information contained in the video and keep their duelist soul burning through to the next exciting turn!
This has got to be a joke right? April fools passed. Topping one regionals now makes someone a pro. Nick is deceiving people and the reason for his two draws is the amount of slow playing that was happening by him at this regionals. Pretending to not know what cards did and asking his opponents to go back because he misunderstood what was happening. I won’t go into the marked cards allegations since his history can shine some light on that as well. Nick is a horrible player even at locals and this video being captioned “play like a pro” is a disgrace to everyone that takes this game seriously, and actual pros. It’s comical to see this because he did well at one regionals. Hakuna great content and I’m a big fan of your work. But please don’t promote a cheater and someone who’s far from a “pro”. Why doesn’t he tell the truth that his favourite card all tournament was scattershot for game in time. That would be an accurate depiction of his regionals.
@JoshMcQueen-qi6zo I'm not sure who this account belongs to but if you really knew me you'd know I've already topped a regional previously so you've definitely dated yourself to be someone who doesn't know me on a personal level and is a player from when I got back. Secondly over half of my rounds were decided pre-time. I'm not sure where these marked card allegations are coming from , I've never been referenced in the same breath of physical tampering with any of my or anyone else's cards in all of my years of playing. The fact this is likely a dummy account created to just throw shade at me really points to your pettiness. All of my opponents bar one from the recent regionals shook hands with me and sat down to talk about our games and had a good time, so if you really were that one opponent hiding behind a mask at least tell them how you really lost: Attacking into live Salamangreat Sanctuary and realizing you played yourself. I know it's a children's card game but there's no reason to act like a child. Move on and get over it, J.

this video was very good and informative. I liked his discussion of potential techs at the end, just to showcase the potential directions, the deck could go also.

I think instead of zenmains the better rank 3 to play would be Brotherhood of the Firefist - Lion Emporer to recur more resources for the next turn. I also like to play 1 Pyro Phoenix because it can help you close out a game with its burn effect in tandum with the weasel Princess line

I've been trying iblee in the deck recently along with 3x parallel exceed and it's just amazing. You never even need to take the nib risk and turn off imperm quite early in their hand.
Something to think about..
Sorry if I missed it, but is there a reason you don’t play lady debug or parallel exceed? I am picking up the deck and was curious. Other than that great video!
You don't have to apologize! You are right in the way I didn't mention any particular reason why I don't run Lady Debug or Parallel EXceed. For me personally I feel like having a true 1 card starter that I can search with as much consistency as all the other Salamangreat monsters to contribute to more stable hands and less card investment. Lady Debug is a great way to splash cool techs like Salamangreat Tiger or EXceed to extend further but for me once I realized I could extend with searchable fire-typed monsters that I don't have to hard draw it ended up working out better mathematically for my opening hands. Having more monsters available for Will of the Salamangreat to revive also is a huge benefit. While Debug + Gazelle with Wicckid can get you an amazing board the same could be said for SOF + Gazelle but with more deck space for hand traps or counter-disruption cards like Crossout or Talents. All that being said I don't think there's any wrong way to play Salamangreat but I personally don't mind the Fire lock at all and find it all works out quite well in the end for me.

Good Video, but the ED seems very off. Playing Almiraj and the Zenmaines + Sprind package takes up so much space, i dont think its worth it

Thanks for sharing this alternative line! While this is true I wanted to showcase a situation where you are able to use hand traps in general just in case your hand situation is more limited. Appreciate the feedback.

@@BIT_SOLDIER you can't use wicked, there is nothing to trigger wicked or am i missing something, okay nvm i see the combo now, you use spinny yo make almraj, re summon back the spinny into bale then make wicked then use recharge
