Thank you so much. That little intro was so beautiful. I myself was born in 1996 and I recently got into RHCP full-fledgedly. They are one of my favorite bands of all-time and I absolutely adore them
Thank you for sharing. I was supposed to be there but Stub Hub screwed me out of my VIP passes and I had been waiting since 2006 to see John again. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope I get the chance to see them again one day.
Thank you Patricia. I was there too- ❤ My daughter got us tix. I started listening to them in 87/88. Freshmen year in college. I have found them to be so funky, bluesy, dark, hopeful, authentic, and just fucking awesome. Its 2am i have the headphones on, my dog gets up everynight. I cant sleep so here i am. That jam in the beginning is sooo hot.

Patricia, I loved your introduction noting your extensive love for RHCP. I have been a fan since the late 80's and as time has gone by my love for them continues to grow! Thank you so much for taking the time to film the show and sharing it with all to see and re-live! The cheering, the talk makes it more authentic! No need to apologize, you deserve to express your feelings and energy! I hope you get to see them many more times!

I’ve been hooked on the RHCP WHEN Dave Navarro joined them and they made one hot minute …………………and I’ve seen them 10x so far…………… I’m not bragging 😉but I’m very proud to have seen them so many X , now I’m older 63 /in November 7th,and I sit on my futon in my livinroom watching TH-cam concerts of them…………………I 🥰 it because it feels like I’m right there at the show with everyone and rockin tel my heart’s ❤content ………………………………🙏🏻👍🏻🤘🏼🫶🏻🌶️🎸🎤🥁🎸🎹😍

We were lucky enough to be in an elevated area with passes However the GA area was 6 inches deep of mud . The kind that takes your shoes off . There were some people really going for it , but not many . Still amazing vibe .
@@itsBuyologyI was in the GA and was one of the people going for it. I went hard but even I’ll admit you legit couldn’t move your feet without falling over. Was only able to rock out from the waste up 😂 a solid 3 inches of mud. Thank god for rain boots
Me and my girlfriend were moshing in the mud, me and some guy both belly flopped into the massive mud pit for the can't stop drop. Very still crowd but safe to say there's a good ten people in there having the time of their lives lol
That scar tissue solo had me rolling around in the mud splashing mud everywhere like a little kid in complete excasty
Now that I read ur comments I can see that I judged quickly.I didnt imagine there could be a mud problem ( btw shame on the people in charge of the organization of the show, there should have been a kind of measure for that issue) Anyway, there are a lot of ways of ejoying music. Personally, I would have been rolling in the mud with you guys lol

i was here, they played great i thought. Saw them a bunch during this tour and this show was great. the crowd was too stoned to react to anything, LOL.

@@Blkac-pill-Black-Life no no no, i have been to 10 shows this tour, i can say with ease, Cant Stop is the best opener, the intro jam into that 5-7 hammer on then that iconic funk riff pops, the lights come on and keidis hits the stage all at once. there is no comparison, ATW should be added later in the setlist to get the crowd pumped. Cant Stop, dani cali, scar tissue and snow should be the first 4 songs. then do whatever lol.
nice description but you should chil with snow and dani cali on the same concert. anyways ATW is polska was so insane with flea laying down on the floor. absolutely insane with lights come on and kiedis coming in lol@@ECooks

I was there at the ADA and the view was absolutely excellent. Not sure why everyone is saying it was a weaker concert, It was a insanely fun concert and not just the Chili Peppers either

Thanks for filming & uploading this - I wanted to go to this but wasn't much interested in any of the earlier bands, so it was kinda pricey just to see RHCP. Saw them last 2 times they played CT, at the Meadows in 1998 & Civic Cen a few years prior. This seems kinda short, but there were a couple cuts so prolly missing at least 10-15 mins, I admire your Fortitude in filming the whole thing - I can get in maybe a song or 2 a show if I'm seeing a band that doesn't have much already on you tube & I'm in a spot I can get good sight/sound w/o annoying the folks behind me. I suppose if I was on a balcony or riser with a rail to rest my phone on it'd be easier.
I heard they also delayed the start & squeezed down the already pretty tight set times due to the mud. That was another negative for me - the original schedule had earlier bands only getting 45 min's, then the last couple got 60. How much shorter were all the sets? They def tried to pack too much into a 5# bag. Typical Live Nation money grab.
IMHO Manic Presents (Westville Music Bowl, College St Music Hall) & Infinity Music Group (Infinity Music Hall) are far better & fan friendlier organizations & I will endeavor to patronize them over any Live Nation venues (the Bridgeport amp & now building a "Fillmore" there. Also the Meadows & Oakdale).
Anyhow, glad you had fun seeing them! I've been wanting to go down to NYC to see them at MSG the last couple runs there, but never really got it together.
I'm not sure how much I missed but it wasn't much . There were people passing out left and right due to drinking and other things and I paused when trying to help those situations. We were on a small platform because my husband is press but had a pulled meniscus, so we were put in an area for those with handicaps. I was standing and holding the camera the entire time. I do it to show to my kids who are in college and aren't with us , and also too share here . Glad you were able to enjoy it .
@@itsBuyology Interesting, you're jogging my memories from the time I saw them at The Meadows in summer 1998. In the parking lots preshow I'd never seen so many severely drunk people, like, scarily on the verge of toxic alcohol poisoning. Most of them probably a few years underage. The saddest were the number of pretty young girls, completely oblivious, very vulnerable. The only amusing part was that my very stuffed shirt / not very worldly horrible boss took his 16 & 14 year old daughters (they mainly wanted to see the Foo Fighters opening act), he was absolutely Scandalized by all this. I assured him this is not the typical fan behavior of the typical jamband concerts I attend usually (I've been a Deadhead since the mid '70's). Sure, there's drug & alcohol use, & some people get a little out of hand, but nothing close to the apocalyptic mess of broken bottles & barf of that parking lot scene. They played a great set that night tho. Didn't start till after midnight, played right up to CT's 2 am curfew by law.
@@itsBuyologyI must’ve been close to you because right above me and below me there were people passing out left and right. It was crazy towards the end and even from the platform you could see just how muddy GA was and that pathway to the platform was near impossible to get through in a wheelchair before they put the boards up

Cutting off Californication Intro is criminal, they should throw you in jail.
Oh my I agree funny thing is they didn't go on until 930pm and we literally had three separate people pass out around us and EMS come to get them . Any cut off are because we were focused on the people passing out. 1 was having convulsions! Make better choices people ! But yes I agree lol
It's a shame with all the cuts especially mid jams...You are a fan, you know their jams are sacred and a divine experience but thank you still for the recording...
As I explained to others the "cuts" are because people were passing out and needing medical attention and help around us. This is me sharing as much as I could get

@sideshowbob and he was exactly correct . Extreme weed usage mixed with mud made from manure sooo "20 tons and farted" was very accurate .
@@itsBuyology I've attended & camped at the Gathering of the Vibes festival in that very same park multiple times between the late '90's & 2015 (the last year it was held). I can attest that it gets VERY muddy after a lot of rain. Many feet of mud in some places. VIP back in those days wasn't the outrageous ripoff it is these days (Vibes was NOT a Live Nation production) so we always sprung for that as you got to camp at the east/north end of the site in the trees with nice thick grass. God help anyone stuck out on the ballfields in the dust/mud with zero shade.
