  • Everest tea may not be builder approved but it was certainly sweet.
The first ever people to summit Everest successfully faced a dilemma as their taste buds were reduced at high altitudes - they could eat food which no longer appealed to them, or drink bucket loads of very, very sweet tea. They opted for the later, brewing a cuppa at 28,000 feet to keep them going.
One thing's for sure; it's not like any other tea I've tried.
They did consume other well-prepared food for fuel on the way up which I’ve recreated in my latest video. Go check it out.
