Cypher is an agent that is both a Sentinel and a Controller, a good cypher can take control of a large space without the enemy knowing. This guide is amazing with explaining how he works best
Whats crazy is how he can also be played as a duelist to when using his trips to clear corners and then wait to setup post plant. Its also crazy how using his cages and bunny hoping into site is always free take if the enemies don't catch it quick enough
I think one innate ability a cypher main needs to have is natural ability to read patterns and behavior. not just on the enemy, but also of the team. He also need to have a good grasp of everyones capabilities to assess each scenario perfectly.
You forgot to mention how you should always be playing mind games with the enemy and getting in their head. You should be always moving around to different angles. Another thing is if you have top game sense but running a duelist you should really tryout cypher and see how good he is. A good cypher will always destroy any other agent.
i disagree with his ult, to me is one of the best of the game. it allows you to gather info and know where you can advance and go, so you can easily control areas with it. its very situational, yes, but it can make a lot of difference in a clutch situation or even on a retake
Nah dude i love Cypher he's a "Sentinel/Controler" but compared with other ultimates. he's ultimate does need help. Look at Kay0 ultimate has 3 stages because only being able to ress is dumb. same goes with cypher. on high level matches haing a ultimate that u can only use when u kill someone is a very negative side. they should buff his ultimate.
@@dark3rthanshadowsthere’s so little room for them to buff his ult. they can’t remove the kill requirement or it’s broken and they can’t lower the cost or it’s used way too often. The only thing they could do is a) make the upload like fade eye where it shows some movement in between each upload (like a second of movement) b) show what util the enemy has available and what guns (information overload and is a lil clunky or c) have a third reveal but it becomes very annoying to play against since you have to play around his ult for so long.
@@dark3rthanshadows thats fair but i also think thats kind of the point? like i said his ult is situational but the situations it is useful are very common (retakes and clutchs mostly), and in most cases someone will already be dead (or cypher doesn't necessarily need to kill anyone)
I picked up Cypher few days ago, and im enjoying everytime i play him. I finally found the agent that suit my playstyle. I thought i was a initiator main. But cypher is the perfect agent for me. I dont like starting fight. I like to be patient. Let them come and be caught by surprise.
I feel like cypher ult is one of the best at winning rounds. It gives you info to best position yourself and team. The ult is deadly if your good at lurking. All together I think cypher is the best lurk agent for this reason. Use cypher util to hold map control and the ult to know where the enemies aren’t… chess not checkers.
They should really buff cypher's Neural Theft. So whenever it's active, the enemy's map and informations are restricted in like a glitchy frame. Not a really big thing but it's at least balanced
Bad idea for a buffed cypher ult, what if, instead of just pinging the enemy twice, it acts as a cam for all enemies, so for example, its a 1v5, you get a pick and ult, they have a tracker dart (or something like it) on them, and they have to hold a button to remove it. It can help when they are behind a bangable box removing it, you can just get a fee kill. Im silver btw this idea is trash
Just started playing Cypher and his ult has helped me clean up two rounds 😂❤ It can be hard to time though as normally when I finally get close enough to a body to use it the round ends 😅
this guide really helped i was thinking about main cypher and then I found this and I have been subscribed for over a year and wanted to tell you guys how much I apricate it 👍
I personally don't like playing duelist(Except yoru).Rather than having an ace or going around taking gun fights with everyone I prefer staying back, holding flank, and giving support to my team, doing big brain plays, and outsmart the enemy team.I unlocked cypher as I thought it might suit my abilities, and it actually does. Thanks for the video, helped a lot
Im new to valo and my friend recommend me to buy cypher played a few games with it and its op. The cam is super useful and the ult is the best in game. I hit my very first mvp with cypher
I love playing cypher yes his ult is situational but ive clutched alot of games with him, hell i played him tonight and the enemy team told me to play in my own rank cause I was 19-5 🤣🤣 and im only Silver 3 right now climbed from B2 to S3 in a couple days plan on taking ranked more seriously now cause I have good game sense and aim just never cared for ranked till recently cause my buddy wants to always run comp
a bunch of bullshit said on the Ultimate. since most of the time even in high or radiant ranks you have bozos with discord accent and no headphones "or no directional sound or FPS whatsoever" and so in a shift walk or random rotation the ult is really wallhack

I love when non-cypher players tell me how to play cypher. Like chill dude you don’t got the toxic mind like we do and are patient!
Like i have a friend who saw one gameplay of à cypher making 3 kills with his ability on sunset and now he think he can teach me
That cam on Ascent B site over Main is so good, my enemies is falling for it every round, and i knew that cam before i watched this video.
proud to be a cypher main

I did the camera flashbang thing and it worked like a charm. sweet 4k off it
as a returning cypher main (i last played in 2021) this really helps me alot in relearning how to play him!

They’d have to change the name tho lol. Maybe it specifies the agent used using colors?

3:36 that Pheonix 😂
As someone who decided to main Cypher after hitting Gold, I just realised that my util sometimes contradicts itself rather than compliment
Nice guide. Now all I need is an upgrade to Windows 10 so that I can play the game again.
the worst fear of a cypher is kay/o

I would suggest putting tripwires behind the entrance when dealing with a kayo because his grenade can easily destroy them

Jett isn't even that good. Cypher is like free picks on a jett.
arguably the moat fun thing to do is use corner cages and camp like a sewer rat
It requires the MOST skill in the game, using it is very hard
