We can't even start to discuss tuning until we know that the archer and the bow are consistent. There's no sense of even trying to tune your bow unless you are performing perfectly.
Once you feel that you're performing perfectly then what we do is we take note of how the arrows are flying. If they are tuned, like if they are center shot, if knocking point is in the right position the arrow will come out of the bow perfectly straight, perfectly straight. If it doesn't come out of the bow perfectly straight the bow is not tuned. Or the archer and the bow aren't tuned together.
So one of the ways that you determine whether the bow is tuned or not is to shoot up close to your target. When you shoot the arrow up close to your target, if the arrow doesn't come out perfectly straight it will enter the target at an angle. The angle that it enters the target at will determine what you have to do in order to tune the bow.
For instance, if you take a shot and the arrow comes out of the bow, and when it hits the target it turns this way, that tells me that the arrow is too weak for the bow. That tells me that as the arrow comes out it's bending too much and moving to the right of the target.
If the arrow comes out of the bow and it bends this way and enters the target at this angle, that tells me that the arrow is too stiff for the bow. So therefore, you have to find the proper spined arrow for the bow. Going back to your chart, your arrow chart, you find out where this arrow was on the chart, and you move back towards a lighter or forward towards a heavier spined arrow. Until you find the proper arrow that comes out at the proper spine and enters into the target perfectly straight. If it enters perfectly straight your arrow and your bow are tuned. That's tuning the arrow.
Now, how can we do it in other ways besides just changing your arrows? You can do it by changing the weight of the points. The heavier the point the more the arrow will bend. Therefore, if you have an arrow that's too stiff, by putting a heavier weight in the front it will cause the arrow to straighten out. Another way you can do it is by putting heavier veins on the back, heavier fletching on the back, that stiffens the arrow. So if an arrow is too weak you can stiffen the arrow by putting weight on the back.
You are the first person I have heard say,"You have to be consistent to tune a bow". No beginner can tune his or hers bow.This is why we are given starting points as to what arrow will shoot in which weight bow. More want to be archers need to listen to you!

I'm sorry, but physics doesn't allow the arrow to come off the bow "PERFECTLY" straight. That's why the archer's paradox exsists.

If you tune a bow correctly an unfleched arrowed will go into the target perfectly straight. The archer's paradox means the middle of the arrow wobbles with a slight wobbling of the tip, but it will go into the target perfectly straight. I've seen Al shoot at national championships and one year he led Darrel Pace and Rick McKinney for a while, he knows what he's talking about.

In Eastern Archery we use Katra to correct for Archer's Paradox. It is a very simple technique.
At least he should mention that his description refers to right-handed archers, and that the behaviour of the arrow of an left-handed archer is exactly the opposite.
The best way of arrow tuning is still the bare shaft testing, even for barebow or longbow archers.

There's are a lot of different reason for why arrow could be entering the target at angle such as wind,release, wrong spine for the arrow etc.

For those who are wondering, that gorgeous looking bow is a Ragim Matrix which is imported from Italy. The price is amazing for a takedown (around $109 US). Decent bow for beginner/student but not something you'd want to keep if you want to hone your skills. Sadly there's nothing I can say about the girl other than, bene carina!

Recurve. I dont know the brand for sure but if I would have to guess it looks pretty much like a Ragim Matrix. pretty affordable, round 80 euros.
I don't understand.. is the arrow knock to be set above the index finger?? Is this another way to shoot or what? I always do it with the arrow between the index and middle finger, that's why we have finger tabs at all. This a technique I haven't heard of?
+Sydney Simicich She is shooting sightless. This means she is using another aiming aid (most likly the tip of the arrow). Because of this her aiming marker is much lower than a sight, this raises the arrows path. In order to do this she can change the position of her hands on the string to lower the arrows path. Typically used for teaching beginners (in order to remove the additional complexity of sights).
it's personal preference, just like most techniques and equipment in archery. personally I shoot 3 under myself, a lot of people shoot 1 over and 2 under. just depends on what works for you

i am right handed and my dominent eye is right..i shoot barebow...so while aiming from which side of string shuold i have to look...right side of string or left side of string to aim

Flexing and going straight are two different things.
Actually, the archers paradox says that the arrow should bend round the bow and then straighten( if you have the correct spine). What this guy is saying is wrong, may even be misconception. An arrow never flies "perfectly straight"

He's very good but he's older, so he's not competing anymore. You can't make a living competing. He was a successful recurve pro in the 80s.

I shoot three under with a single finger width gap under the nock just like she does. I do this for anchor point purposes. The base of my thumb hooks back of my jaw and the arrow nock rests into the corner of my mouth.
best way is to shoot though a big peace of paper to see if your arrow goes though it right or not!
Using unfleched arrows is preferred by a lot of archers, it shows groupings better.
.. too complicated for me.. i prefer the old stick with a string and some other sticks to shoot with.. plain and simple

A good or bad release will also determine the angle of your arrow when it leaves the bow. It’s not just about the arrow, and having a clean release takes a time. These videos aren’t great.

It was just that at my archery club, they tell us all to wear them. I use a 20lb
Beginners are advised to wear a bracer until they become comfortable with the correct stance and release. Once competant then the wearing of a bracer is counter productive as it will mask the onset of bad posture. I shoot a 40lb recurve without a guard and rarely get a twang but when I do it serves as a reminder.
