I've had a few games where I've been in a good enough position to use the Submerge ability to "stall". Especially with the new rules, spending 1 power over 2 turns was a way for me to wait things out and slowly gather up all my units.
I used it last game (4 player core faction), having my Cthulhu submerged both scared them and forced them to do something else with their power, I love it. :)
I was going to say the same. With time i learned that submerge is huge for cthulhu. Not all you can keep an eye over your ocean gates but you can stall saving some power to the end. Having 5 or 6 power to spend wile others are out its the jackpot for cthulhu.
Hi. Can you help with a question. The Regenerate Post-Battle ability "Assign up to 2 Kill or Pain results to the same Starspawn. If 2 Kills are applied, the Starspawn is killed. On any other combination of Kill or Pain results, the Starspawn is only Pained." Is the Starspawn eliminated if I apply only one Kill (without additional pains - Let's say the enemy only rolled one kill result and I assigned it to the Starspawn)?

I don't get why some people like GC's Absorb If you absorb your own cultists, you are gaining 3 dice, but you are losing one of your meat-shields and one energy point for re-summoning them. If you absorb a DeepOne, you only gain 2 dice. Okey, you are puting your cultist in the pool, so you can put them again in convenient places, but I thing that 3 dice are not a great boost. I mean, CC's invisivility can counter it. Abduct sometimes can. Nyarlatotep's inmortality too.

No it is not. You need to assign TWO kills to it. Star Spawn are hard to kill!

Can you build more than 1 gate per action phrase?
No, not without a neutral monster or something, which I'm not sure exists. You can per cycle though, in case anyone is confused on that.
