BUT I still want to support you guys, and I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a podcast for Rivals, or videogames in general? For me, this podcast has increasingly become more about the personality of you two, rather than Snap itself.
I could not agree with this post more. I like Snap, but I LOVE Cozy and Alex! My boys and I talk about the Snap Chat for days on end as the week goes on!

@PenitusVox man I gotta say that I'm less than 10 cards away from a complete collection and I just got three new cards in the last 24 hours, I could use 1-2 more keys and get Havok as well. I really don't see the complaints people have about the current system.
The worst part about snap, is that (like I somehow did) is you can get 6 new cards with 6 keys if you’re lucky but sometimes it takes 12 keys to get 3 new cards. I think if they change it so your second key lets you pick or gives you a new card, it would massively reenergize and revive our burnt out community. 2 keys is two weeks of playing (with season pass and never missing a mission) that would allow people to obtain half of the content (similar to other gatcha games where with normal play you can get half of the released characters.) Spending an entire month to get 1 card when 3 pass you buy feels too bad when it happens every single month.
DD is fun when you are winning but honestly sometimes its honestly hollow unless it's a bot because on the other end of the big win is somebody who got hit with a "you're out of bubs!"
When you guys do another top ten can we please get a visual of the card on a tier list for both of you? Like cozy’s card on one side and then Alex’s on his own?

I have a few thousand boosters and I know I won't use them up. I have a variant that I've upgraded a certain number of times and I like it. I don't plan on investing in it any more. Do you think something like this is possible?
There’s a lot of cards I missed out on because I was being conscious of my resources. These cards ended up being important in so many meta builds that I just ended up missing out on: Hydra Bob, Ajax, Wiccan, and Anti-Venom. I want to get Gorr, but now I’m dreading the best build is going to include Anti-Venom. Feels bad.
I don't know why it;s a surprise Cozy has played not only Persona, but a few (I assume 3, 4 and 5) but it does make sense since he uses the Persona 4 dancing game song in like, alllll his videos, but that's super cool.
Mailbag: I have a couple of ideas on how they could possibly make card acquisition feel a little better. 1. Add a free S4/S5 each season, like they do with the S3. 1a. If you don't use the S3 freebie each season, at the end of the season they would send you 500 tokens since you didn't use the S3 freebie, and if they added the S4/5 freebie they would send another 1k if you don't use it 2. Make Series 5 to 4 drops happen consistently like they used to, then S3 drops could happen like they are currently or maybe 1 extra time each year.
Mailbag: I'm a free to play player, and have been playing since November 2022. I have only ever bought the season pass once, and I get to infinite every month. However, I still don't have: Jeff, Nebula, Alioth, Baron Zemo, Gladiator, Blob, Thena, Elsa Bloodstone, or Mockingbird, along with a bunch of other newer or less high-quality cards. Last week, I spent my keys and got Werewolf first, which I hadnt acquired yet either. The very next key, I got werewolf again as my series 4/5 card which was just converted into 1000 tokens. I was so mad. This isn't as much a question as it is an experience showing how bad Snap is to even loyal players. I think I deserve something better after two years of faithfully playing the game.

Mailbag. I just wanted to pitch my idea for a great thing that second dinner could do for all players but particularly newer players. Is give all players 1 of 3 series 5 cards as they start the game. Thanos, Arishem or high evolutionary. Now what these cards have in common they are all cards that encourage players to build around them teaching them synergies along the way. Coming from hearthstone the best thing that game had in terms of design that Ben probably brought over was the idea that restrictions breed creativity. In high evolutionary the goal is to fill your deck with historically weak cards that make your deck stronger as a whole. Arishem gives newer players the opportunity to play any card that spawns at low collection levels. And Thanos provides a protect the king kind of strategy playing the stones to buff your finisher and also adds to the early zoo archetype a lot of new players gravitate toward.
The wolf carried this game this week for me. Only spent 1 key to get this card, its a very fun. I dont think Id survive this week if I wasted keys + the stress of grinding diner fomo + we got the series drop news today. Damn its rough
About the wolf. People who can't get all cards need to figure out what they like. I like mill and it's finally doing stuff and the wolf is a must have. Paid tokens for it, no regret. Mill can feel weak at the end, this is a game flipper

You mentioned White Widow and it reminded me too ask something I've never got about using that card.....why does the Widows Kiss disappear constantly, it seems so random when it does that I'm not sure what makes it vanish from the opponents lane within a few plays

I can’t believe someone actually defended Tim Horton’s lmao. Alberta boy here; through highschool I would get Tim’s probably +5x a week, I don’t think they ever got the order right. They are just truly incompetent 💀 beyond that, they have continued to get worse over the years. MAILBAG QUESTION AT THE END: Going to be honest bros, I'm out of Marvel Snap the moment Marvel Rivals drops. During the MR beta, I could barely force myself to do dailies. Obviously the games are wildly different, but I came to Snap for the IP. Yes, Snap is a fun card game, but the greed of Second Dinner made me want to abandon ship over the last few months. After these new series drops, Deadpool's Diner, and general outlook on the economy, I'm simply stepping away. I know once I step away, there's no coming back. 5+ Series 5 cards released every month with a capricious Spotlight system means that if I quit for 4 months, it's just over for me. For what it's worth, I've played for about 18 months and have bought the season pass each month. I spent money here and there but not a ton. I'm a dolphin at best. Probably closer to a mackrel lmao. Anyway, my question is the following: Since I will no longer consume Snap content, where are the best places to find you two playing games other than Snap? You two are fun creators that I enjoy. I won't keep up with your Snap content anymore, but I would love to support you elsewhere. Bonus question: Pancakes or waffles?

Mailbag: I think it’s time for a series 6. It’s outrageous to me that there are 100 cards currently not available without keys or tokens. They should make series 4 obtainable after series 3, move a lot of cards down to series 4, and make series 5 and 6 where you spend tokens and keys. This game is so difficult to catch up on and grind at this point I can no longer recommend it until they fix card acquisition.
Honestly I'm kinda stupid because I thought the collectors vault was like a thing that'd let you pick a free variant or something, because I never read what it was beforehand, then I opened it and was like "oh yeah no I'm good" lol its not like they give me enough gold to buy one but I got plenty of borders
Fenris is very good, like Anti Venom ("anti Good, anyone?") is very good. I think it's now taking longer to find the best decks with new cards, and people are going too early on takes.

Honestly fenny chan isn't a bad card and more than anything I feel like we gamers are jaded just because we're use to bigger and higher cards with more numberz. But personally I feel like we'll age much better over time compared to other cards
It's so hard to judge just the "Best" cards. Each card does very different things so it becomes hard to really compare. Also even just the word "best" can mean different things. They mention Apoc being specific to discard only so he's not included, Scream as well is not included because she belongs in just 1 deck, but then Gilgamesh is and that literally only sees play in Zoo. If I were to label what "best" is, it's the cards that see play in multiple deck types. Stuff like Cassandra Nova and Copycat would be top of my list for example.

Mailbag: I know that the year isnt over yet, but if i could use 1 word to describe Marvel Snap in 2024 id be 'underwhelming' or 'disappointing'. Every feature and gamemode (like albums, collectors vault, caches and the diner) except high voltage were disappointing. Great ideas but poorly implemented because of the awful economy of the game. My last hopes rely on chracter mastery, but I still fear the future of the game
i don’t think fenris wolf really acts well as a release valve for destroy because of lds AND the fact that destroy gets equal or double benefit off the power it destroys while wolf gets at most equal (venom, knull, etc)
If one card is a buy at 53% win rate why is the other card not at 49%? the difference is four games out of every 100. 4. Especially at a time when there is nothing but mirror matches

What's with the hype for the Marvel Rivals season? Other than Doom 2099 must of the cards look questionable at best. Bruce Banner is actively bad, Penni and Luna could go one way or the other. Rocket and Groot look fun but still suffer from the same thing all the guardians suffer from, guessing the location. The fact they said don't get Malekith to save for the Rivals season is insane. Malekith took me to infinite this season. This seems like they're falsely hyping up Marvel Rivals for future content creation.

My strategy for diner was to completely ignore it and have fun instead. It worked!

I got lucky and rolled Fenris with one key. I hit infinite for the 2nd time ever with the mill deck.
I think Fenris was designed alongside the old Gorr "destroy all 6 cost"

Alberta boy here; through highschool I would get Tim’s probably +5x a week, I don’t think they ever got the order right. They are just truly incompetent 💀 beyond that, they have continued to get worse over the years. The removal of Swiss cheese… the change of the club bun, the coffee change etc etc every time it’s worse. You can’t go to Tim’s and expect your order to be a) good or b) correct. At best they make a decent ice cap.

hot take (clearly): id rather alioth fart my cards to death WITHOUT priority than play against scream. a whole deck around moving your cards outside of where you placed them WHILE stealing power with scream and gaining power with kraven leaves victory feeling helpless for me. At least yk exactly whats about to happen with alioth
Alioth definitely is a tech card, which is why it’s so ridiculous that the card is 10 power. Still have no idea why he’s that high of a power card.
It still amazes me that Agent Venom is a 2/5, but Shocker is a 2/3 and cyclops is a 3/4 and they're vanilla dudes. Snap is clearly pay to win recently and reminds me of the surfer/zabu hell from year 1
That's because Agent is more restrictive to the decks you can use it in since it's actually a detrimental effect for cards above 3 power
100% and there is stuff we don’t know about. Like how does the matchmaking work? What if, when you spend money, it affects the matchmaking. I know a lot of game developers and have heard some really crazy stuff.

MAILBAG QUESTION AT THE END:
Going to be honest bros, I'm out of Marvel Snap the moment Marvel Rivals drops. During the MR beta, I could barely force myself to do dailies. Obviously the games are wildly different, but I came to Snap for the IP. Yes, Snap is a fun card game, but the greed of Second Dinner made me want to abandon ship over the last few months. After these new series drops, Deadpool's Diner, and general outlook on the economy, I'm simply stepping away.
I know once I step away, there's no coming back. 5+ Series 5 cards released every month with a capricious Spotlight system means that if I quit for 4 months, it's just over for me.
For what it's worth, I've played for about 18 months and have bought the season pass each month. I spent money here and there but not a ton. I'm a dolphin at best. Probably closer to a mackrel lmao.
Anyway, my question is the following: Since I will no longer consume Snap content, where are the best places to find you two playing games other than Snap? You two are fun creators that I enjoy. I won't keep up with your Snap content anymore, but I would love to support you elsewhere. Bonus question: Pancakes or waffles?

Mailbag: I think it’s time for a series 6. It’s outrageous to me that there are 100 cards currently not available without keys or tokens. They should make series 4 obtainable after series 3, move a lot of cards down to series 4, and make series 5 and 6 where you spend tokens and keys. This game is so difficult to catch up on and grind at this point I can no longer recommend it until they fix card acquisition.
Honestly I'm kinda stupid because I thought the collectors vault was like a thing that'd let you pick a free variant or something, because I never read what it was beforehand, then I opened it and was like "oh yeah no I'm good" lol its not like they give me enough gold to buy one but I got plenty of borders

Fenris is very good, like Anti Venom ("anti Good, anyone?") is very good. I think it's now taking longer to find the best decks with new cards, and people are going too early on takes.

I hit the buttons and non of them are anything I want....do you think they could atleast put in a perfered character button so a player can finish off his or hers collection ie..... Mail bag: what do you guys think, if the devs implemented a feature with your alliance, that allowed you to rent or borrow a card or cards that you don’t have to try them out in decks. And maybe have each card for 8 to 12 hours or something so then someone else in your alliance can rent that card for a little while. Is this even cool? Am I sniffing copium too?

Honestly fenny chan isn't a bad card and more than anything I feel like we gamers are jaded just because we're use to bigger and higher cards with more numberz. But personally I feel like we'll age much better over time compared to other cards

It's so hard to judge just the "Best" cards. Each card does very different things so it becomes hard to really compare. Also even just the word "best" can mean different things. They mention Apoc being specific to discard only so he's not included, Scream as well is not included because she belongs in just 1 deck, but then Gilgamesh is and that literally only sees play in Zoo. If I were to label what "best" is, it's the cards that see play in multiple deck types. Stuff like Cassandra Nova and Copycat would be top of my list for example.
I’m going to make a deck with these best of choices to prove them wrong, but I’m still missing Surtur, Agent Venom, Gilgamesh and Ajax…

Mailbag: I know that the year isnt over yet, but if i could use 1 word to describe Marvel Snap in 2024 id be 'underwhelming' or 'disappointing'. Every feature and gamemode (like albums, collectors vault, caches and the diner) except high voltage were disappointing. Great ideas but poorly implemented because of the awful economy of the game. My last hopes rely on chracter mastery, but I still fear the future of the game
i don’t think fenris wolf really acts well as a release valve for destroy because of lds AND the fact that destroy gets equal or double benefit off the power it destroys while wolf gets at most equal (venom, knull, etc)

What's with the hype for the Marvel Rivals season? Other than Doom 2099 must of the cards look questionable at best. Bruce Banner is actively bad, Penni and Luna could go one way or the other. Rocket and Groot look fun but still suffer from the same thing all the guardians suffer from, guessing the location. The fact they said don't get Malekith to save for the Rivals season is insane. Malekith took me to infinite this season. This seems like they're falsely hyping up Marvel Rivals for future content creation.
I have the same thought, I'm only saving for Doom but I think rocket and Groot would also be amazing
