The Wild Horses of the Devil's Garden

The Devil’s Garden Plateau Wild Horse Territory is the largest managed by the Forest Service. The Modoc National Forest cares deeply for these horses and is proud to be charged with their care. Unfortunately, the number of wild horses has greatly exceeded appropriate management levels resulting in serious damage to the land, water and vegetation, which the Forest Service must also protect.
