- Today I go over each of the 6 different Ancient Egyptian Mew cards that have been released and I show you how to identify what card you have and how much it might be worth. a couple could go for 1,500 dollars if graded gem mint.

PSA isn’t the only company that graded cards. Also Becketts are more picky when grading cards so sometimes a PSA 9 may not be as good as a Beckett’s 9 grading

@@julianmonico3341 if you are lucky you could find a lightly played one for cheap but in the last few months most are going for over $30 now. So I've been trying to find info on the speckled fixed version for YEARS because, as a kid, I bought one from a card shop before the Mewtwo movie came out and I was upset that they gave out Ancient Mews to everyone until I realized the holographic film on mine was different. I've held onto it because I thought, and hoped, that maybe someday someone would mention the difference between the two and that mine might be worth more. But yeah, I still own that fixed speckled version and you're the first person, in over 20 years, to finally have the info I've been looking for. I hope it'll be worth a great deal soon.
The prices have gone up a good amount. I haven’t been able to find a corrected speckled one for under $100, it’s really hard to find one at all. That’s an awesome card you have. I’m happy I was able to help

Yes there was an ancient mew card that was out before the movie promo!! I remember me and my brothers knowing it as the real ancient mew which was what we called it because the movie promo card came out and then everyone had one. My brother got his that was in a magazine positioned just like the one in this video but obviously wasn't from 2019 cause this was over 15 years ago. But I have not been able to find any information on the real ancient mew card either. It looks different I remember that but what are the differences between yours and the ones in this video ? Cause I haven't had the chance to see if my brother still has the magazine but thought I was going crazy till I saw your comment. Feel like some Mandela effect stuff

Did you know the employee who misspelled Nintendo on the first run did it on purpose, because the Pokemon yakuza paid him to do it for future value purposes. I also just made all of this up, for entertainment purposes.

Yeah but the one with Nintedo error is worth less ! The one with Nintendo is actually the more rare one and it has to be the Japanese version
I was a kid when I went watch the movie. I have 2 ancient Mew mint (seem perfect, I put them on a sealed photo album when I was a kid), it's the version on the right (we had that one in Portugal). Good to know they still are so cool nowadays, going to grade them, and keep as a collection and souvenir
My dad gave me one and I treasure it every single kid in my neighborhood collects Pokémon and they’re begging on their knees for it
This is definitely one of the cards that stand out from others. Take care of it and I wouldn’t trade it If I were you.

Thanks for all the good info man! Somehow my original Ancient Mew card was taken out of my childhood binder and misplaced so long ago. Idk where it went, and it always bummed me out to have lost it. So I’ve been looking to add one back to the collection to display in my office. I didn’t realize there were 4 versions in the original releases back in the day. I think I’ve landed on the 4th print (American cosmo foil) as being my favorite. Love that cosmo foil pattern and thick borders. I think that’s what I’m gonna go for. Thanks again man!

I remember really wanting an Ancient Mew card and thinking they were replicas of actual Japanese Egyptian crossover legends from thousands of years ago, and that Pokemon have been around forever.
That’s a really awesome memory. I’m sure in some way Pokemon have been around for a long time

Were the American versions printed on different cardboard? I have two of the thicker boarder ones, but one feels stiffer than the other.
I have noticed differences like that before. Could be different print facilities

Just checked mine out. It’s the corrected version with speckled foiling. It does have a neat/strange miscut at the top. Time to investigate and get it graded. It’s in really good condition other than the miscut.

I finally bought this childhood dream card, my favorite of all time! Insane how cheap it costs in USA lol I bought the cheapest NM for R$300,00 (that's 1/4 minimium wage here in Brazil...) but I can finally say I have this card!!!

Do they all have the black inner lining in them? I have one and it has no lining, just a print sticker on a piece of card. Is that a fake?

Go to eBay search ancient mew corrected version filter sold. Make sure it’s the Japanese corrected version specifically, the English release one is the normal one and all are correct

The Nintendo error is a common print error, they have it spelled Nintedo on the first Japanese release

It’s not rare but if in great condition it’s still worth a some money and a very awesome card in any collection

Great Info. But just starting to collect Pokemon Cards so I will need to read up. Tons of stuff to learn. I like the Rebel Clash cards as they are the first packs I opened. I might try and pick up some Secret Rare and Ultra Rare cards as they cool looking. Do you think there are any fakes or should I be fine with this set?
Definitely fakes in every set even the newest sets will have people faking the cards as well. I have had good luck buying from troll and toad. eBay hasn’t given me any problems but as someone new I would recommend troll and toad until you have the skills to spot fakes from photos

Ancient nordic language. The Horus eye on the pyramid is placed four three other times on the card.
Alchemistic Symbols for the pyramid may also be a possibility.
I recommend,
A book about Alchemy, four elements and the meaning of the pyramid.
Some more experience in language, nordic rune alphabet.

I am a very big fan of mew and the second pokemon movie is actually my favorite. So you can tell how much I love my ancient mew card.
It´s not in the best condition and is the one released in america but I still love it. And I am so grateful that I found this video about you explaning the differences. I think old and mysterious looking cards are the best. They just give me tsome kind of feeling I really love!

Funny how 23 years later I see this card again and get that need to have it urge again. Upside is shit has changed where its no longer early internet days and the only way to know about it in the West is from Pokemon card magazines.
