  • Learn to play Solfeggietto on guitar with this solo tutorial at 96 BPM, complete with TABs for easy learning. Perfect for guitarists looking to improve their skills!
I have been practicing this piece, composed in 1766 by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and created for piano, for 2 months now. Two months ago I was able to play it at about 80BPM, and here I'm playing it at 96BPM. If I'm not mistaken, the original speed is 120BPM, so I still have a lot work to do.
Anyway, not only because I have fun playing adaptations of classical pieces for the guitar, but also because this one is a great exercise in alternate picking and sweep picking, a technique that I am struggling to learn.
Finally, it's worth saying that the person here forgot to tune the guitar properly, so it was recorded with the guitar in D.

Some notes are a little bit out of tune, but... it's a Gibson, there's nothing to do.

Hey, thanks for reaching out… yes the course of LP g string right? I’ll use an Ibanez next time 👊🤘

Flawless at a constant tempo. I guess the next step would be speeding up. It seems its been a couple months so I wouldn't be surprised if you already got that down. Regardless of the status, this is a very clean (or like neat?) recording. Been learning this piece for piano class and this is really good to play alongside. Thanks for this cover!

Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, definitely the next step was to speed it up, which til this day I have to confess I failed to do. But it’s in my new years resolution to get it at 120bpm. Happy holidays to you, and again thanks.

Hey, thanks, really appreciate your kind words. I’m trying my best, not as clean I’d like too, but I’m fighting against years and years of bad habits on the guitar 😂 at least I’m improving, slowly. Thanks again, have a good evening 🤘

@@CHOEYGMUSIC I’ve been playing this for 2 months, a couple of minutes every day… what helped a lot was to record myself… sometimes I was playing and thinking “I’m the king of the world” 😂 just to listen afterwards and check how bad it sounded… made me identify problems like wrong hand position, flying pinky… poor palm muting technique… the way I hold the pick… just to mention a few… hope it helps you overcome your rut.

Hey, mate. Thanks for taking the time to watch and commenting. Yeah, classic pieces sound awesome on the guitar. I'm learning some for a Live Concert I'll do soon. Really cool stuff. Sometimes I imagine some of those guys, like Bach for instance, would do with today's technology, pedals, synth, etc...

Hey, thanks mate. Never tried on piano, but doesn’t look easy too, well I mean, that must be a piece of cake for you, right? In fact I first heard the piano version today, sounds unusual as is just one hand at the time, or looks like so…

Hi there. Thanks for watching and commenting. As matter of fact, the guitar is not out of tune. I’m using John Frusciante tuning for this one 😂 now serious, when I realizes was just too late. Paying for attention to that this day… (at least I’m not blaming LP g string)

Hey, thanks for commenting. There is no right or wrong way… both work but sounds different. This can be used to improve both alternate or economic picking, depends on what technique you want to improve. If you have a video playing it somewhere I’d love to see it. Have a great weekend 👊🤘

Hey, thanks. Me too, I'm really passionate about playing classical pieces on an electric guitar. Hope this can help you. I started at 60 BPM, and now I stopped at 90, the song is, if I remember well, 116 BPM so a lot to improve. Tag me if you share some video playing it, I'd love to see your evolution.

Very cool hearing that on guitar, Dektri!!! I teach that to my piano students because it lays in very easy hand positions for pianists. Also, cool hearing it in a different key!!!

@@dektrimusic This song is available from most sheet music sellers (sometimes called "Solfeggio") for piano. I like both the Alfred Masterworks edition and the Schirmer Edition. As it's very old, you can probably find public domain free versions online if you look.
