You need to simply resize them side by side. I have made a video where I do this,here is the link to that particular video, th-cam.com/video/L7idof1g3jo/w-d-xo.html , here after I resize my videos side by side I show how you can stretch them so that they cover the entire screen,hope this helps.
Wow,that is an insane edit. A lot of it can be replicated in VSDC and some other effects I have to check. You know the hardest part to do is syncing the audio with proper clips so that the video looks beautiful as a whole. Will try replicating the effects in VSDC,lets see how far I can succeed.

I don't think it is possible yet. Hopefully,we will be able to do that in the future.

The sliding bar becomes visible only after you click on the 'Transparent Level' option where the value is '100'.
