Thank you Tracey for all of your amazing songs but especially this one. My sister died at Christmas 2 years ago from a long struggle with cancer. Your words are so true.
When someone very dear
Calls you with the words "everything's all clear "
That's what you want to hear
But you know it might be different in the New Year
what a beautiful song... warm and human. Just what we need at this time of year
This should have way more likes
The lyrics are perfect. Tracey's delivery is perfect.. This is my start of Christmas every year. Love to all who's here for the season 😘
Thank you Randy Sharp for referring me in my grief to to this beautiful song of sadness and hope.
We will gather up our fears and face down the coming years
One of my favourite Christmas songs. Really beautiful.
I’ve never been able to make it through this song- without falling apart. It hits HARD
When Wham are Christmas number 1 and this song is nowhere to be heard, we can be assured the world is rudderless.
🎄I always come here to get the mood started for the season!
100%!
we love tracey.
Omg I’m crying
je te respecte, bravo vraie artiste, pas comme les artistes de deux pièces, l'art de l'écoute n'est pas comme l'art mixte je veux dire yeux et oreille.
What a beautiful song
Always my go to Christmas track. Exceptional work!
Love this so much!
I had to disagree w a friend about the last lyric line.
I say " make up Christmas night" is about creating a wondrous mythical religious story, not like a couple making up after a fight. Anyone else weigh in?
Yeah, I agree with you. I’ve always interpreted the line to mean “We” (mankind) “must be alright” (despite our tendency to act like a pack of total cunts a lot of the time) “if we can make up Christmas night” (something that for most of us is beautiful, pure and innocent.) it’s like no matter how concerned I get about the morality of the human race, Christmas time particularly restores my faith in people and reminds me that good outweighs evil. Peace, x
PERFECT!!!!😊😊😊
I don’t think it is meant to be religious. My own take is that it is about the relationship/companionship of the human condition. I think it’s just about the coming together and forgiving any issues. If you put this together with other tracks on the album that makes sense. There is a line in her cover of Ron Sexsmith’s song “ Maybe this Christmas “
“And maybe forgiveness will ask us to call
Someone we love, someone we've lost
For reasons we can’t quite recall
Maybe this Christmas”
I sort of join that together
First! Great video.
