    Thank you! I asked so many doctors about this when I was experiencing it and know one could tell me why! It is a very annoying and troubling symptom!

    Im glad You're the first one to diagnose it right . I have suffered from this annoying nightmare for years upon years . Hearing my own voice loudly . Not being able to talk properly because of my voice get distorted when i speak . I can't control the volume and pitch of my voice because of it . I also hear my own breathing like a violant wind hitting the eardrum from each side its so annoying .
    I have gone to so many doctors . All of them misdiagnose it for something else . Only one was able to recognize it but she told me that unfortunately the treatment isnt available because the condition is so rare like only 1 from 1000 peope have it.

    Thank you for the tip. I wish I could loose weight but that's not the case here. .I'll try this. Right now I have a cotton ball in my ear to stop the double echo or kazoo sound which first started as the normal tinnitus ship humming sound when docked 😢😰 that simply got to loud to handle.

    Beside the sympthoms you described that I also have, the sound of my voice vibrate such that it is like electric shocks in my brain, is that part of autophony or another issue?

  • @shaidaaneo
    @shaidaaneo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks for the info, I’m hearing myself breathe and I’m not sure if that’s considered as the symptoms of autophony

    • @gaudianiclinic

      Yes, autophonia by definition is the hyperperception of one's own voice and breathing.

    I can manually 'pop' my ears and hear my voice in my head which is very useful for singing. I was wondering if most people can do this or not?

    • @gaudianiclinic
      @gaudianiclinic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool! I'm not sure if manually means adjust your tongue/throat muscles in a way that clears your Eustacian tubes, or if it's something external, but that's cool. Hearing your voice in your head could mean so many things; if it feels echo-y and like a wind tunnel, that can be Patulous Eustacian tubes which can be seen in rapid weight loss or underweight. Else your ability may be a cool natural variant and yay for singing! Unsure if most people can do this or not; at some point almost certainly an otolaryngologist (ENT doc) could tell you. :)

      @littleentn7387 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, but I have been able to get it to a point where it only bothers me once in a while. I do have it all the time still, but manageable. I cut out all caffeine, and work on isometric neck exercises (bob and brad youtube) and also de-stress. Also use a night guard for TMD. I've got rid of the anxiety linked to PET and reduced my sniffing a lot. All these things combined, my new specialist (Norway) and I agreed to drop surgery plans for the foreseeable future. PET is a part of the medical schooling here, so I'd recommend contacting private specialists in Norway if you struggle to find someone and are close to here :) @@Sinx_Cosx_Tanx

      @@ajasshaikmohammed84 I cut out all caffeine, do various things to reduce my stress levels, reduce anxiety around PET and try to manage neck/jaw/face tension through exercises and self massage (never let anyone manipulate your neck, I have permanent injury from that and it's destroyed my life way beyond what PET could ever do).
      Reducing how much I sniff/pop has been absolute key, and ditching caffeine was very important for that. Weight gain made no difference to me. I'm not able to manage PET on my own at home, and cancelled my ear surgery in agreement with ENT dr :)
      I don't even think about it daily anymore, though it does sometimes annoy me still. It's annoying though, rather than horrible.
