2:06 I can't tell if this is an editing oversight, or a commentary on Delvins perfection that he edits himself live.
probably the second guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was an acting mistake and they kept it because it fits his character
It's an editing oversight, no doubt. Not a problem though.
Probably option A but option B fits too.
Where is the oversight? I see nothing
Why not both? 😂
It’s definitely a blooper - but we left it in cause it works for Delvin
It looks like TH-cam will be blocked in my country, and due to sanctions, unfortunately, I cannot pay for a subscription to Viva+. So, while I still have the opportunity, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the entire team of VLDL for the time I was lucky enough to spend with them. My friend and I have been watching this channel for the past two years and have become very fond of you all. You guys have never failed to lift our spirits and allow us to relax, especially in these times. We are not sure that we will be able to follow your creativity further, but we will always remember your videos with great warmth and sincerely wish you all the best. You are wonderful people and amazing actors. Take care of yourself and good luck!
With sincere love from Russia.
Sorry to hear you'll be missing out on VLDL and everything else on TH-cam soon...
I imagine you've already thought of this and it wouldn't work for whatever reason but there are free VPNs available which might be able to help get you around region locks.
Good luck and I hope you find a solution!
Youtbe being blocked and being unable to watch VLDL is the least of your problems right now. If I was in your shoes, I would've try to leave Russia ASAP, before my family exchenge me for new Lada.
TH-cam is banned in China too, yet here I am.
Keep your head down, your mouth shout, and avoid the battle-zone.This will also pass, and eventually we will contact again in the web. Don`t die for other people to get rich......
See you, and good luck!
DO NOT GIVE UP! And become a casual hacker. We'll get through to here somehow!
So anytime we're seeing some weird shit in Honeywood, we can put it on Delvin.
Gotcha.
Deadcells joke was underappreciated
Game Requirements:
A quantum computer
Explaining the Epic NPC man by a comedy skit is the perfect way of doing continuity.
This guy deserves an award 1:18
1:24 HE SAID IT!!!
I assume everyone is required to. I am interested to learn that this extends beyond the United States, though.
I wonder if it carries into non-English speaking countries (presumably said in foreign), of which I've heard that there are at least two.
The most reasonable person in that room is the investor, and that's funny
En ces temps de fêtes et depuis trop longtemps, il faut le dire :
La qualité des sous-titres vf est absolument folle, merveilleux et ultra pro; merci.
Nice beatboxing
Indeed
Eh
Rowan's seriously talented. You heard their cover songs yet? He and Adam and Alan are actually really good.
When you're a perfectionist working on your own project, it’s the same. You touch one little detail, it leads to another. And soon you are rewriting the whole thing from scratch
Can fucking relate lmao
The mess up in the speech is so accurate
I was expecting a mitochondria joke! When he reached cell level. Not dissappointed at all 😂😂😂
I mean damn he deserves a better job, he did all that in 5 months. He could have saved star citizen like 5 million for that guy to buy more yachts.
0:53 a simple joke but quite effective.
I don't get it
@DeccyVR Alan not knowing who is the character that he plays
IS THIS THE BACKSTORY FOR EPIC NPC MAN?!?!?!
I THINK IT IS!!!!
apparently it is, actually Epic NPC Man episode 1 fits after this episode seamlessly :)
Yes
Yes it is
Gets better think of the computing power needed to even get that running at even a frame a second animation. He probably taped into reality for processing power and that's why RPG elements sometimes break into the real world.
And why sometimes players literally get sucked into the game too.
Thats an insane in universe explanation for the honeywood npcs behaving like they do... And i love it!
Lol the contrast of Jake beatboxing followed by Delvin explaining how he simulated life is genius.
2:08 fun fact: during development of Ultima Online, there was exactly this system existed: Plants were growing, some animals were eating them, and other animal npcs were eating those animals etc... but when the players are involved during beta testing, they massacred every npc and destroyed this "virtual ecosystem". Developers tried so much with fixing that by adjusting spawn rates and making hunter npcs more valuable by loots but eventually gave up and scrapped the idea.
There is a whole dev talk out there about UO and simulated economy. And how it doesnt work when players exist. Lol
You have to acount for the human element from the start as are environmental system on our planet shows we are not good at this
Wasn't this a proper feature? I've read somewher that it was a part of the game proper and it didn't survive live players. Dunno if they could get enough beta testers back then to test such feature through.
@@keeperofthefate I guess it is, im not sure about if it was just in beta or in actual game. Richard Garriot says in an interview about it that they spend 3 years to develop the feature and when the game went live people start to kill everything they encountered. They had tried to find a solution for many months but in the end decided to cut the feature and no one remembers it at all.
I remember it, bc a side effect was dragons attacking the cities for food bc all their normal sources were dead.
Bro literally created an entire simulated universe, just to make the graphics look better, and only a handful of the NPCS are sentient.
so this is the origin story of all those santient characters from honeywood. amzing
Not gunna lie that Dead Cells joke was quite cleaver. 😅
Adam doing this role so well.
will make Delvin a hero in this series...
This reminds me of Rob in the D&D group diving down the rabbit hole to dig for information of stuff he puts in the game that leads to a domino effect that keeps him up all night just so his stories are realistic :p
I was thinking of Rob and his 1am desire to learn sign language the whole time Delvin was speaking.
Good to know that Greg the garlic farmer and Bodger the blacksmith can now poop! 😂
not only can but have to.
But did he remember to include microcosms to break down the poop?
I like how your giving epic npc man a origin story very subtle but great
Getting a backstory to how greg became sentient was the only christmas gift i needed
We're going be studying cell biology, microbiology, astrophysics, quantum physics and even new subjects like NPC's anatomy and physiology with this one.
THE MITOCHONDRIA IS THE POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL
I hope this series continues. It's fun to see your daily life as a developer being reflected as a comedy sketch but more real in the way. And yes, we have this kind of people, that implements an "upgrade" based on a single comment put on any social media, causing a total disaster on all the game engine itself.
Great skit!! Editing miss 2:02 ? Although it kinda works if it was LoL
Was just going to post the same,, had to be a miss
I was looking for this comment
I think it adds more than it takes away. Almost adds some realism
@@Acidtrain I think it was done intentionally cause he is in the midst of explaining the matrix and then he glitches within the matrix he is within.
I agree it does add more.
Also, it does have a sense of realism as all of us have had a time where we say something pause and then repeat the exact same thing we said.
I can't wait for Skycraft's crossover event with Free City! The interactions between Guy, Buddy and Dude with the SNPCs (sentient non-player characters) of Honeywood, should be hilarious.
Delvin casually explaining how he figured out how to be god.
I feel like Delvin just broke the 5th, 6th, and 7th walls.
Sick beats Rowan!
Next thing we're gonna see, is Delving making a pod to bring one of the NPC to the real world
He figured out nuclear fusion?!
That ALONE would make more money than all games combined!
I mean he did it in a star. We already know how to do it in a star.
What's hard is figuring out how to do it in a sustainable and economical way without a star's worth of mass in hydrogen in a way that it generates energy on net.
@@Hust91 We are able to do fusion without a star's worth of mass in hydrogen. We are not able to control it good enough to use it for energy production. If you want nuclear fusion without a star's worth of mass in hydrogen then you can for example explode a hydrogen bomb. Less extreme ways to do this is also for decades now in trial phases with the goal to create fusion power plants. The big problem there is not to start the reaction but to keep it going long enough in a controlled way in order to get out more energy then you put into to get it going.
What if its like a realy good game tho
Minecrafts still making money lol
@@ashleysmith38
Fully working practical fusion energy production would still be more profitable than any video game ever.
Already knew from your announcements on the Kickstarter there was gonna be a connection, but MAN you did it BRILLIANTLY!!
I'm breathless, lmao. Usually I just smirk at videos, but this time I laughed - mostly from disbelief. Pure genius, this skit xD
Delvin (Adam) has become God. The lore expands, Adam is responsible for all existence.
Did Delvin just make the Matrix?
1:30 BOBBY, WAKE UP! HE SAID THE THING!
Love how this suddenly became a prequel to the longest running series on VLDL, back when it wasn't VLDL.
i love how that fits in with the epic npc universe. from their perspective, the npcs would never notice they live in 1 frame per minute
