I realize this is a few years old now, but thanks for sharing - I've just gotten my first book to narrate and have been thinking all these things over with the auditions and processes of developing my time doing narration.
love that this is my first video of you. you seem familiar with all sides of the book world and i am trying to break into the audio portion of it as a writer and a audio engineer student. My only challenge and fear is processing. stationary life with mobility issues right now I wont be relying on going into a studio but if i can process recording good enough i can get started in many ways for myself and maybe meet remote studios I can send work to. About to check out your page but if its any help you can give directing to vocal chains or ranges for different reasons i will appreciate it. I have many voices but my mains are a country male like Popeyes commercial and a lustful female like a game villain.
I have an issue- I record with a Rodecaster Pro 2, and import into Logic ProX, and I just completed a audio book into ACX, and I am having audio test issues- Out of Logic, my audio test is too low. Do you have any advice for me to fix that?
Great video, but your intro is way to long. I expected you to give me techniques on how to find my own voice, and you did…..kinda. Also, it’s difficult to trust an audiobook narrator when their audio for TH-cam isn’t good. Keep doing your thing bro!
Thank you so much. Not nervous at all. I've been doing this for a very long time (as well as recording videos). I think that's just 2020 coming out ;-).

Neil Dimond! Nice. I agree he has a great voice. For me it would be James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman.
this was helpful thanks
