Who has used and still carries a hand operated winch??
I'ts me here! :-))
When I go off-roading with my Disco 1, I always put my griphoist wire rope puller in the trunk.
No electronics to go wrong, really strong and I can pull the Disco in ANY direction that I want.
I think it is mutch better than a fixed electronic winch in the front..... aaaand can be used to many purposes, not only for pulling the 4wd out of the mud, but pull anything you want.
