Purple should have just focused on Sappers and Loom and forgot about elephants... the vills were so fast the arrows can't hit them when moving. If he got Sappers a couple of times the castles will melt. When played right I think Persians are the strongest 256 tech forest nothing civ. Because of the bonus 50 food you can start building 2 vills (total of 5) and still have enough food to only need 2 farms to go feudal ((175*2)+(250-100)=500) everyone else needs 3 farms meaning you can be up to feudal fastest. Faster Feudal means you can sell wood for the best price and your TC becomes faster. In Feudal all you need is Villagers, Double-bit Axe and Wheelbarrow (fast TC helps with this a ton). Eventually you no longer need Axe tech and can focus on going up to Castle Age. Keep building Vills/TCs and getting Handcart until you max out pop and your vills are dangerously close to bugging out from being too fast. Once you are pop capped go Imp get Guilds and start focusing on getting Loom and Sappers. Then just kill everyone. No need for the Spanish tech your vills will be super hard to kill and melt all buildings in seconds. No need to waste Res and space on Blacksmith or Military this is much more effective.
Ever since the first time I saw a video featuring the 256x Tech mod, I've wanted to see a player abuse Fletching + Town Watch. Not only did this game provide that, but it also showcased Mithridates's Speed Force villages, and later an elephant that could teleport behind his foes. Outstanding!

I made my own custom type of forest nothing back when I was a kid. I think this predates minecraft as well. I would play 1v1 against an ai on a tiny map which I filled completely with trees. Unfortunately the AI would just resign after a while and the game lagged on the laptop I played on which itself was already really old. My solution was to build a river down the middle of the map and have a tiny 1 wide path leading from the ai's base to the river. This gave the AI something to do and helped prevent it from giving up. After the 256x Forest Nothing map clear world record, a lot of people know to avoid using farms. Food was above 500 to buy, more than stone. So it's a lot easier to afford a bunch of monk techs that only cost gold than blacksmith upgrades that cost food. Someone please make a bunch of monks with 100x Block Printing, get lots of Looms and Sappers for villagers, and convert villagers from across the map to use to destroy their origin civ's town. Your weakness is that monks take a long time to train and you die if your base is reached (unless your super villagers can pull off a win by themselves), but if you have 20 monasteries all researching Block Printing, you should be able to strike first. This takes advantage of Spies only costing 200 gold.

Maybe they should run something between the original 3x mod and the 256x mod, something round 10x; enough for upgrades to start to add up to something interesting, but not enough to break things in half. It would also make some civs better for their unique tech; a lot of them give a worse ROI than a blacksmith or other generic tech and aren't worht it in 256, but in a game where you could research all available copies of fletching, say, stacking even more range via britons unique tech could be interesting

With how many times we've seen TaToH break the game by rushing to feudal age, you'd have thought someone would rush Feudal for upgrades, especially in 50 pop 256...
For "good civs for noobs" I suggest Persians, because the fast TC is a decent eco bonus, but in a way that makes training your build orders HARDER (but not in a weird way like Chinese, just faster paced) and makes you even more paranoid about always having the TC queued up. Then later, they have lots of options to practice.
best plan to start would be to cut a tree, start building an outpost over the chopped tree and then deleting the outpost and repeating to make room to build fast.

The farmers of Purple freeze up because the farms don't produce at the same speed as the farmer collects it. The farm actually has 0 food available at times with this collection rate.
T90, any thoughts on a version of the 256x mod that makes an exception for range mods (and maybe some other things)? These games seem to come down to who gets the most range upgrades first and just deleting kings with wooden cruise missiles.
The Obsidian Arrows tech should have been given to the Saracens. It would at least make their team bonus useful for the Saracens, even if it would stay useless for everyone else. Alternatively just give the Saracens a non-suck team bonus.
Malay would be nasty in this circumstance. Karambits are only half a pop each, and if you're on top of your upgrades then their relative weakness becomes progressively lower as the game goes on.
13:28 well actually ... >_> Youve got the giant birds that work as an aerial transport. And you have the Raven scouts if youre playing with, I believe, Odin as your main deity.

if i remember correctly rushing chevalier and upgrading them as much as humanly possible is fkin unstoppable once you get like 10-20 of them
For "good civs for noobs" I suggest Persians, because the fast TC is a decent eco bonus, but in a way that makes training your build orders HARDER (but not in a weird way like Chinese, just faster paced) and makes you even more paranoid about always having the TC queued up. Then later, they have lots of options to practice.
you: teal
the guy she keeps checking out: yellow
best plan to start would be to cut a tree, start building an outpost over the chopped tree and then deleting the outpost and repeating to make room to build fast.
Is very close to my beloved 75 pop FN. T90Love
Someone having a bad week or being away for a while doesn't really mean much. Im a competitive Pokemon player and will do dozens of battles a day... But lately I just havent been in the mood. So when I try, I don't do as well. Sooner or later ill jump back into it eagerly, but for now I'm just doing some other things ive wanted to
what the fuck is a competitive pokemon player?
Havent watched yet, expecting a quick feudal into absurd chopping rates with mass archers that shoot ballistic missiles
Once it hits about the 25 minute mark, it's just "tish-tish....tish-tish....tish-tish......"
The farmers of Purple freeze up because the farms don't produce at the same speed as the farmer collects it. The farm actually has 0 food available at times with this collection rate.
T90, any thoughts on a version of the 256x mod that makes an exception for range mods (and maybe some other things)? These games seem to come down to who gets the most range upgrades first and just deleting kings with wooden cruise missiles.
seeing the elephants is like, "run forrest, run", rip
Lol, they all look like Shinobi from hidden leaf village XD
I see T90, I click
I see El Jefe, I comment.
@@T90Official Comment but no heart? "YOU NO LOVE ME?"
The Obsidian Arrows tech should have been given to the Saracens. It would at least make their team bonus useful for the Saracens, even if it would stay useless for everyone else.
Alternatively just give the Saracens a non-suck team bonus.
This would make an interesting regicide 250x tech
Malay would be nasty in this circumstance. Karambits are only half a pop each, and if you're on top of your upgrades then their relative weakness becomes progressively lower as the game goes on.
T90 I'd love to help you play age of mythology but I only have the disk version and my pc won't let me play online :/ 💙💙💙
13:28 well actually ... >_> Youve got the giant birds that work as an aerial transport. And you have the Raven scouts if youre playing with, I believe, Odin as your main deity.
Pegasus as scout for any Greek god. Giant birds are called rocs. They're big enough to pick up full grown elephants (African or Indian doesn't matter) iirc the roc comes from middle eastern legends?
This was the most disgustingly beautiful thing I have ever seen
T90 please do a Forest Nothing world record attempt during your 69hr stream
Vietnamese needs some eco boost early game, or maybe a good economic Unique tech in Castle Age and push Chartras to Imp.
i was supposed to watch t90farm guy deleting his vills for sending a message but this player keep kicking my ass
Heh Celts Mangonels+Siege Engineers o.o
Should work like a Katyusha, no? >.<
Gotta love that Zoomyphant tho.
1:07:10 he said ''get ready'' ^hazır ol^
What if Jags got +1 attack per kill? They'd need to kill weak units first, but would gradually become really powerful.
the 420 stone joke made this video
lmao Purple's villagers went quantum
this is like... WE DEMAND MORE ADDITIONAL LUMBER !
Make Teutonic Knights into knights, on horseback.
Still really want to see a game where 2 players can win, but it is a diplo game. So you start with no allies but can make allies with anyone. However only two players can win.
I explained it badly.. But basically it's a diplo game where you can ally victory with one other player.
Viper isnt losing will to play, he is moving to germany soon and more focused on that for now.
'a little bit of coke is ok' 54:15 ~T90 quotes We gottem guys!

The only things better in AoE2 is the existence of tiles and the selection of civs but there weren't many of them exploring. However, there are things that are better in AoE3.
