      It’s a good one indeed Tom, no overhead wires in the way.

    Great video Mike. The variety of locos and liveries is fantastic.
    Thoughts right now with driver and passengers who sadly died in today's derailment in Scotland.

    Nice long stretches of track to get some good long shots of the trains in full length.

    That was a productive trip out Mike, decent amount of freight, mix of HSTs, and the bonus unit drag. Not sure if your captions for the Banbury and Elstow to Mountsorrel are the right way round as I've never seen those wagon types on those workings before but have the other way round. Been Cossington quite a few times myself, but didn't know there was a shot like that at Syston East.

      Darren mate thank you for noticing my mistake, you are 100% right, and I have put a update on the video right up. it was so nice to go to a location with no overhead wires.

    Excellent unimpeded shots Mike. Great little film. I know electrification is the way to go but it's nice to be able to see the trains without the wires. Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙

    Great video Mike, nice selection of HST & stone trains. I think I've been to that spot at Syston East with you (& Pete and Paul) back in the late 1980s....I'll have to get my photos out to show when you when you next pop over for cake and a cuppa !

      I know what you are referring to but it’s on the same stretch of line but I’m sure it’s a different place, but I could be wrong mate.

    Afternoon Mike. Great seeing you out and about 🤣 Great location with no OLE 👍🏻 Those 47s just keep soldering on 😄 I’m off too Fareham this afternoon from Trafford park 🙄 Keep safe until the next video cheers Stevie 😎

    • @antman09ful1
      @antman09ful1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Stevie it does make a very nice change to have no metal about when filming. Thinking about it the metal is taking over more and more Stevie.
      Safe journeys on them roads. I went to London this afternoon. Mike.

    What was up with the LNER-branded vehicles in that first HST?

    • @antman09ful1
      @antman09ful1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn’t any LNER branding on the EMTs Tom, just ex class 43.

    • @tomwatts703
      @tomwatts703 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@antman09ful1 Ok it doesn't actually say 'LNER' on them but that's very clearly the LNER livery, are the vehicles on loan/transferred or something?

    • @antman09ful1

      Yes they have been transferred Tom.

    Some of the short passenger trains look like they have WAY too much locomotive.

      antman09ful1 Mike I’m sorry. I need to use more words. I meant that a 5-car passenger trains looks like it doesn’t need two huge locomotives on it. I don’t know anything about it and am learning so sometimes I sound dumb. I have never been able to watch a passenger rail line here in rural Maine. I do enjoy your videos. I wish I could go trackside with you.

    • @antman09ful1
      @antman09ful1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good evening Thomas, I understand now what you are referring to.
      That was a new unit which was as I said going to Wolverton works it needs a loco each end to get into the works.
      From there it goes onto the WCML for mileage testing and fault finding. Regards Mike.

    has anyone actually seen someone 'tagging graffiti' on rolling stock, they must come out at night with torches
