This announcer tries her hardest to convince us that Ehlers and Wickler were ever in this match, or that they fought back in the second set, neither of which was this case. This may have been the most lopsided final in the history of beach volleyball at the Olympics and World Championships.
For real. Extremely unusual for a gold-medal BV game to be so one-sided. I need to find the full match footage in order to understand what kind of weak spot the Swedish team managed to exploit.
@@UnicornrU I'm sure you'll find it somewhere online. It wasn't that the champs were playing a perfect game. Hellvig looked better than he had all tournament (though still far from invincible), and Åhman really didn't do anything all game he doesn't do every day in practice. The difference lay in how little resistance Ehlers and Wickler offered in every facet of the game. Perhaps they froze up because they sensed the opportunity of a lifetime. They didn't manage to repeat the same mindset that had enabled them to overcome Mol and Sørum, whom they had never beaten before. They should have remembered that their record against Åhman and Hellvig was equally one-sided, meaning that they were underdogs once more, with the pressure lying on the favorites from Sweden.
thats not true, both of the Swedish players have lived all their lifes in sweden and played ordinary volleyball, until Swedens coach in beach volleyball had an idea to play beach volleyball in a differant way than others do
What? Both Sweden and Denmark have quite many sandy beaches. I have not been to that many places in Norway, but if we have them, they have them. The scandinavian countries almost have more coast than land

Its funny how cold nations are in finals and all tropical nations are out in an event which is named beach volleyball.
😂😂😂
Brazil won in the women's event.
Germany and Sweden are hot in summer and have great beaches
Beaches are not exclusive to "warm" countries, nor are athletes representative of nations.
Tropical nations have whole year to practice. Meanwhile cold nations just have summer

Scandanavian countres had hardly any beaches except Firodland and yet they are in the final of men volleyball.
These players are not representative of Scandinavian countries. They just happen to have been born there.

Lagoa azul nao deu chance para Alemanha.
I hope the Olympic committee releases the interview with the famous dutchman
The Swdish combination are on another level. I figured that the Germans would be the favorites having already defeated Mol/Sorum.
Ehlers and Wickler could not be favorites, because they lose to Åhman and Hellvig almost every time.
The funny thing is bout these swedish pair they lost twice in GS, barely qualify and yet they dominated from R16 up to the gold medal match
Where is the women's final?
Chez Macron.
this narrator sounds like from lord of the rings
I nominate beer pong as the next Olympic sport 🇺🇸
1:27 that chick is bad.
nice
Sweden 🇸🇪 defeats Germany 🇩🇪 in Men's Beach Volleyball 🏐 Final.
It is normal that they are playing with purebred volleyball players.
