    Looking good Tim....people don't realize how much time it takes to prep an electronic deployment system. It's not just put in the motor and go. = )

    If the wire splices are staggered then theoretically you don't need to insulate them. If there is a chance that the wire will fold where it goes through your straw you could just insulate one of the 2 wires, you wouldn't have to insulate both of them. All of this would reduce the amount of material to feed through that straw.
    Would it make any sense to feed a long wire from the timer back through the straw and through the rear bulkhead and then splice the igniter on there when you are prepping the rocket at the pad?

      I don't know If I'd splice while the rocket was on the pad. You have to do everything to make sure that it ignites, and it just seems that you'd be taking extra chances.
