I like to think Corrupted Spinel was brought into the fight purely to *keep Steven under control.* I fully believe Steven may have actually been able to fend off the corruption had it continued to be a 1v1 with BF. Spinel's taunting, coupled with her corrupted form wildly swinging the Reguvinator Scythe, she's almost acting like a warden for him, making sure he stays under the influence. I think this is further supported by Steven's vocals *dropping* in pitch after Spinel shows up, almost like his short spell in the glitch puddle while Spinel took over was meant to reprogram him again.
I swear to god I want steven TO BE BAVK TO NORMAL ON SONG 2- Concept idea for song 2: Steven goes back to normal mid way through the song. Nice w they have to battle spinel for next half of song two and 3. Then they venture out to get the gems to normal. I guess its concept for 2-3

Honestly, gotta love the little detail of Steven's pupil return for that split second at 1:03 Even if it's minor, small things like that can really convey a whole wave of momentary humanity. happy ending is that they don't win but everything is just erased and turned into a streaming service instead of a Television show. Bad ending is just that they win, what do they do now? the glitch is erased but their friends are gone. they can't rebuild, their life is terrible and there is no reboot.

This has to be the best Learning with Pibby mod I've seen so far. This mod stands out because its not too difficult or easy, the song just sounds awesome, and the scene when Steven turns slightly normal just makes this song even better as it kind of breaks the 4th wall in a way to tell the player that this "isn't a game"

Its a thing that corrupts the cartoon after its end. Basically it uses the ended cartoon characters to its favor, but not killing the character as it could just break the glitch it self

The best mod from the pibby line yet. Steven could regain his control for a brief moment to cycle on a single line " This is not a game!" This is easy to understand by his pupil showing up,and then fading out quickly,his mind got re-captured FAR too quick.. Maybe he still has a chance
Now I know why Steven's up anim is him having a leg up Spinel's scythe in the up arrow is on a position on which if Steven didn't move it would hit him, making him fall into the corruption. Either that or it's a coincidence Edit: nvm it's nothing it actually doesn't hit him
One of my favorite versions. I love how Steven and Spinel are dual characters. And I love when Steven says “THIS ISN’T A GAME!” The animation for that is cool. Honestly, in my opinion this is better than high effort in a LOT of ways! (And BF’s peace sign randomly is cool, and the change of animations from normal to on edge)
My personal headcanon as to why Steven was able to temporarily resist the corruption and both Steven and Spinel were able to talk while Finn & Jake weren’t able to do either (the closest they got was Jake just screaming) is because for Steven his body was corrupted but not his gem, so when he goes pink which uses his gem’s power, he’s able to temporarily resist it and is able to say “I don’t get it!” repeatedly afterwards, but for Spinel the corruption is just having more trouble controlling her but is still able to, either because she’s a full-on gem and not a hybrid or because she’s not a diamond

Wowza, this is absolutely magnificent. The details like how Steven attempts to fight back or take control with his gem/crystal and manages to spit out a few words trying to warn you by saying "This isn't a game!" and trying to signal for you to run and alert you that what you (Boyfriend) are doing is unsafe and dangerous. When it's about 1:04 in you can see an eye so I think when he was in his regular form her could not control it so he took all his power to try and be upset or angry thinking when he's in his pink form he will be able to control himself well he did for a second and stated "THIS ISN'T A GAME" saying that as like a form from the movie hopefully bringing spenel to cage him but she was already taken by the corruption and she could see Steven fighting back so she tried to stop that and make the corruption beat him so he wouldn't have a chance against it hopeing that it would win for some time to win the world because with all the power Steven holds in his gem the corruption can use it but Steven on the other hand could have used it to fight back at the corruption.
I personally like mid effort more because it just has that animation when Steven says "This isn't a game!" Showing that he actually broke through also how the shield flickers in and out. Plus after spiel gets done talking she shows up like it's a surprise the new one just kinda had her awkwardly swinging her scythe while talking. Steven shows back up a little bit after spinel meaning he got fully corrupted and they were singing in sync. Also I the mid effort one spinel and Steven were singing together and Steven's not just sitting to the side like "oh lemme just sit here and watch" even though you can audibly hear is notes. The new one is good don't get me wrong but it's just missing that feeling I had when I first seen the mid effort one. The mid effort one actually made me feel like a childhood character I loved got utterly messed up from a virus while the new one is like a Steven imposter getting infected 🤷🏾♂️. Edit: by mid effort I mean the unfinished version of the mod

Steven could regain his control for a brief moment to cycle on a single line " This is not a game!" This is easy to understand by his pupil showing up,and then fading out quickly,his mind got re-captured FAR too quick.. Maybe he still has a chance

I love how Steven and Spinel are dual characters. And I love when Steven says “THIS ISN’T A GAME!” The animation for that is cool.
Honestly, in my opinion this is better than high effort in a LOT of ways!
(And BF’s peace sign randomly is cool, and the change of animations from normal to on edge)

My personal headcanon as to why Steven was able to temporarily resist the corruption and both Steven and Spinel were able to talk while Finn & Jake weren’t able to do either (the closest they got was Jake just screaming) is because for Steven his body was corrupted but not his gem, so when he goes pink which uses his gem’s power, he’s able to temporarily resist it and is able to say “I don’t get it!” repeatedly afterwards, but for Spinel the corruption is just having more trouble controlling her but is still able to, either because she’s a full-on gem and not a hybrid or because she’s not a diamond

As if he's telling bf to run because steven has control over the glitch, also love the part where he disappears and we hear talking, and then spinel appears, and the glitch thing covers half of the map! Wowza, this is absolutely magnificent. The details like how Steven attempts to fight back or take control with his gem/crystal and manages to spit out a few words trying to warn you by saying "This isn't a game!" and trying to signal for you to run and alert you that what you (Boyfriend) are doing is unsafe and dangerous. And I also love how Steven pulls out his shield, I wonder what that's for?

When it's about 1:04 in you can see an eye so I think when he was in his regular form her could not control it so he took all his power to try and be upset or angry thinking when he's in his pink form he will be able to control himself well he did for a second and stated "THIS ISN'T A GAME" saying that as like a form from the movie hopefully bringing spenel to cage him but she was already taken by the corruption and she could see Steven fighting back so she tried to stop that and make the corruption beat him so he wouldn't have a chance against it hopeing that it would win for some time to win the world because with all the power Steven holds in his gem the corruption can use it but Steven on the other hand could have used it to fight back at the corruption.
I personally like mid effort more because it just has that animation when Steven says "This isn't a game!" Showing that he actually broke through also how the shield flickers in and out. Plus after spiel gets done talking she shows up like it's a surprise the new one just kinda had her awkwardly swinging her scythe while talking. Steven shows back up a little bit after spinel meaning he got fully corrupted and they were singing in sync. Also I the mid effort one spinel and Steven were singing together and Steven's not just sitting to the side like "oh lemme just sit here and watch" even though you can audibly hear is notes. The new one is good don't get me wrong but it's just missing that feeling I had when I first seen the mid effort one. The mid effort one actually made me feel like a childhood character I loved got utterly messed up from a virus while the new one is like a Steven imposter getting infected 🤷🏾♂️.

I like to think steven did that himself as his eye briefly turns normal when he went pink, he slightly broke control for a few seconds but then the glitch took over almost instantly while he was in that form

Thats means serious characters can fight off the glitch, steven only needs more power
Characters like vegeta couldnt be affected (yes dragon ball could be invaded because its on cartoon network)
