Of course! You can plan 3-4 days in Beijing, 2-3 days in Shanghai, and 2-3 days in Chongqing. It’s a great combination for your trip!

Hi can you travel to and from different ports or you have to enter and leave from the same port? Previously it was if you enter, for example, beijing you have to leave via beijing only. TIA!

Hi! With the updated 240-hour Visa-Free Transit policy, you can now enter and leave from different ports, as long as both are within the designated 24 provinces and regions eligible for the policy. For example, you can enter through Beijing and leave from Shanghai or another approved exit port. It’s much more flexible now compared to the previous rules. Safe travels! 😊

@@ruzibee3201 This is the official information released by China: www.nia.gov.cn/n897453/c1688948/content.html. However, it’s currently only available in Chinese, and there is no English translation at the moment.

@@ExploringChinawithAustin thank you so much, I'm planning to travel in January and wasn't sure if I should get a visa or if the transit would suffice, appreciate all your help, thanks again!

@@ruzibee3201 You’re very welcome! The 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit is usually enough for most travelers. May I ask which country you’re from? Some countries actually qualify for visa-free stays of over 15 days.
Since you’re planning to visit in January, please note that Chinese New Year will be from January 28th to February 4th, and travel during this time can be quite challenging due to the holiday rush. It’s best to avoid traveling between January 25th and February 8th if possible. However, if you’d like to experience the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year, it can also be a unique and memorable time to visit! 😊 Safe travels!
