One of the issues with the FK8 is the intercooler blocked the radiator. Adding an oil cooler in front of it makes the issue worse. The HKS location was much better.
upgraded radiator (cant remember if you did upgrade it or not) and proper heat management on the turbo and downpipe area as its right beside the radiator, cant have heat management issues on a stock car and do power adders and expect it to do better cooling wise.
Would probably do wonders if you change your radiator + coolant lines and changing the fake vents on the side with real open vents. Love your contents lately Dustin. Keep up the amazing work! 💯💯

I think it's time to get those cutout pieces with mesh for the fake front vents. Maybe a lower temp thermostat and a bigger radiator. There's probably plenty of input on civic x for how to cool on track.

I have some of the top times in Northern California and have developed a pretty robust cooling system which has shown to be effective in 90° weather running full 20 minutes sessions all out. If you want some help addressing your overheating issues let me know. Ed Segal is running a paired down version of my set up and having great results with it in gridlife time attack events. There's others as well who have tested with very good results. Again, let me know and I can help.

Did you guys burp the coolant on the FK8 after putting the motor back in? Could be as fundamental as air in the lines. There was a lot in the engine bay apart too on the last version..
I was just thinking would either a rear mount radiator or maybe an auxiliary front side mount radiator help with the overheating issue. Or maybe even a higher flow radiator and some ducting? Just throwing it out there. It was awesome to see you back out on the track in the FK8. I'm super stoked for when you get the forged motor in it.

AC condenser blocks the radiator more than the inter cooler does
Biggest issue is the turbo 2” from the radiator. All type r’s were overheating this weekend. It was super hot and humid. Was 95 in the shade

Need to run the PWR race radiator. Its the best in the market for fk8s. Itll solve your overheating issues.
Need a better radiator than stock and also a higher cfm radiator fan. That thick intercooler is blocking some air.
