hey sir i am wondering will it helpful I did that as my nextbook is somewhat similar to different than yours. I am also facing the same problem with my nextbook flexx 11.6 that I bought from ebay in a new condition. do please let me know I don't know why it's not charging if I did that same method that you just showed just now on this video
I just got my tablet the other day. Played with it plugged in, assuming it was charging. When I opened it today it was not charged nor charging when I plugged it in. Clueless I Googled and got you. I tooth picked the cord end to no avail. Gently poked around in the port - instant success. Easiest find and fix ever! Thanks so much!!
I just want to let YOU know., it worked for me too! I did what you said to do. I cleaned out the tip of charger, than the part to connect to. "YOU ARE THE MAN". Thank you very much!
I was about to send my tablet back to the manufacturer but after using a toothpick the tablet fully charged and amazingly a lot quicker then before. I am completely shocked! Thanks for the help because you are the MAN!
this has helped me some as well dude. got my nextbook back in late Nov. and have been having this issue the last month. thanks for the it of info to help future nextbook users dude. :)
I had this same problem! So frustrating!! I did try cleaning it out and soe of the black stuff came out. I put a tiny piece of tooth pick in like you said and it really worked! It's not perfect but atleast I can get it to charge now. Happy New Years!!
+terry m I bet! Thanks for letting me know it worked out for you. It's really not that hard to do and it's better than it not charging at all. Happy New Years!
Thanks for the idea it worked for over a year but now the pin has broken from the device. I want to order the part but I don't know what it is called or how to order a replacement part.
Pls help.i have here nextbook laptop but dont have brand name and model, I dont see any words written outside or any corner pls help. Where can i find the brand and model cause its not there. Pls
The charger went out on my tablet. I have to actually splice the cable of the charger into a USB. And I found a 5.2volt 2.0amp USB block from Lenovo. That's how I made a new charger.
I have the same problem with my next so I can't make any videos for youtube anymore I would put in my charger and the red light would pop up on the side of the tablet but it won't charge
ummmmmm doesn't that mean they intentionally designed it to go too far in so the post inside is touching plastic and therefore wouldn't charge. Its not just that type of charge connection on their products it happens on all their products and yes I did think about pushing a small peice of aluminum into the micro USB port on my tablet under the pad inside with the connection pads on top (in other words the thinnest side looking down into the port.) They also cause cables that are not theirs to charge slower......how to get around this with samsung, nextbook and a whole lot of others, the little apple block given in older apple products, its at thrift stores you can get the original little block and even the larger block will work, it has to say apple. If it says any other manufacturer it will not work it only works with the Apple block from like an iphone 4. I think its similar enough it tricks both. I wanted to see under what condition it needed to charge as the port goes in and out irregularly. What I found about those ports for charging is they are literally made too big so the connection is loose inside, they split the metal around it to help facilitate breaking as no other port I have ever seen has a micro usb port with a split inside on the actual body of the port. So it was intentional and shady. So to fix those, push it in, plug it in, hold the cable straight and a bit firm, now with a needle push down inside the crack between the cable and tablet body. Now see if the light comes on for charging, if it does then you can put a small piece of aluminum on the wider side looking into the port, the goal is to keep it flat so you will need to put a small piece wrapped on the charging cable port itself and slowly insert it. To permanently fix all devices with charging port problems when you have to position the cable a certain way to get charging, buy a cheap cable, put it into the position you need then set it down stationary on something and confirm it is still charging.....now put a dot.......A DOT...........AGAIN A DOT of superglue in the crack between the cable and body of the tablet, wait for it to dry and do not remove the cable unless you have to. The reason for the dot being stressed so much is because you can overpower a dot of superglue, its a lot harder when its caked on. It should hold it MILDLY and the glue dot will give up as time goes by but for around 1 month you don't have to worry about it because its fixed in the position you need, the lighter the device the longer the glue will last. Gravity. hope this helps with some ideas.
For me to charge it i need to get a connection cord. Plug in the charger. And push it hard. And it'll turn red then fade into black. And in the end it doesn't charge
Mine shows its charging and I can turn it on sometimes. My problem is that it doesn't charge up and always show 0% maybe 2% if im lucky. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks
I tried this and the tooth pick got stuck like you said. I put it in and...... IT STILL WON'T CHARGE. IT JUST GOT RUINED. DON'T DO THIS. YOU'LL JUST RUIN IT.
It didn't work! I've had mine for a while and I tried the toothpick, a very tiny amount of black got onto it AND IT WONT CHARGE!! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH IT
